Crazy,

Wow. Your such an awesome driver, you should get an award.

Seriously, What would you have done if there were other vehicles on 30 behind that truck and other vehicles getting on the hwy behind you? Where would you have gone? The shoulder is not there and you stop and you get plowed.

Please, why don't you explain to us what to do in that situation.

I do not blame that parent for not wanting their child getting on the hwy at that location. Why not be on the safe side. If they are a teen, they are NOT an experienced driver. You acquire experience with time behind the wheel. Whats wrong with a parent having their child be cautious?

Nothing is wrong with being cautious or using another entrance. There is something wrong with blaming others for their or their child's inexperience or inabilities.

Any by the way Einstein....there were others cars and trucks around....many of them. You think there were just the three of us huh? Brilliant. You too deserve an award...just like the parent who wants to blame others, society wants to give everyone an award. Here's you sign sunshine!

Try listening to your brain and not the radio when driving in tight conditions. The brain knows the right speed to get on the highway safely. Just trust it.

Maybe, MAYBE you should get a life. RC Fan was just expressing his frustrations with the safety of the area. It is horrible and there will be accidents.

Do I as do when entering floor the car and let er rip one of two things is going to happen The cars on the highway will swerve to miss you and hit someone else or I die in a fiery death with a semi sticking out of my tailpipe. But on a serious note be please careful until they get this mess finished this is what we get when the almighty Wal Mart demands it.

The entrance as it is now configured during construction is extremely dangerous. They've allowed no extra room for entering traffic on the ramp and therefore no margin of error, especially if both lanes of traffic on I30 are occupied with traffic moving at 70 mph or faster when someone is trying to merge in. Someone's going to be killed there in a horrible accident and I'm surprised it hasn't already happened. Any person who cannot see the obvious danger that has been created at that entrance ramp by TXDOT is clueless.

I don't have a problem with the ramp personally, but there will be accidents there. You don't make a short, nearly blind ramp with no shoulder. That's just stupid.

Of course, TXDOT has never been immune to stupidity. And this isn't the worst I've seen before. But it is absolutely an accident waiting to happen.

Actually the right lane shifts onto the end of the ramp making the ramp shorter.
Yep, the ramp is absolutely not the same as always. It's shorter, blinder and lost the escape route to the shoulder.

I'm glad it's closed, as it is "unsafe", but they should have just read our concerns. Too bad it wasn't anything we said for them to pay attention. The service road is a joke! Hang on to your butt, lol! I'll just use another ramp. I've also noted people coming out of McDonalds are still turning the WRONG WAY on the new one way!!!!!!! Pay attention people!!!

My point exactly. It's the driver's fault, not the road. People can't even follow a one-way sign. There's no way TXDOT said it was unsafe. They'd open themselves to all that liability.

Then why is it closed?

I have been busy. But one of my friends was in the wreck by Soulmans. She was able to come to a complete stop due to a wreck in front of her and was then hit (twice by the same car somehow). She sent me the link.

Correction: TXDOT did say it was unsafe and closed it. It's the road AND the driver in Royse City. I'm yet to see many yield at a yield sign.

She is not hurt - considering her car was up on the wall for a bit. Not much damage to her but the drive of car the car that hit her had to be cut out. Go - Team Neutral on this one. Seahawks just to be mean.
