I'm looking for more information can this purposed railroad in 1870. I know the company collapsed in 1873. Who were the investors?, how much land was bought and perhaps cleared for the railroad? I know stock certicates were printed and I probably sold ....but to whom??? Any info. I can obtain would greatly be appreciated. I would love to see an original stock certificate from 1870.

I have 3 certificates dated from 1873 from Mansfield Coldwater and Lake Michigan Railroad Company. I would like any information as to how to redeem them.

I might be interested in purchasing the certificate once I know the certificate serial number (upper left).

Follow-up comment. This mostly never built RR had separate stock books that were used in Mansfield, Ohio (Hickox signed), and in Coldwater, Michigan (Lewis signed). The certificate number will determine the location of issue. Manfield used #501 to #2500, Coldwater used #1 to #500, then #2501 to #3500.

Thanks for the certificate number. It is consecutive to #1288 in my census. I would like to know the date (April xx 1872) and the number of shares. If you would like, you can send this information to my e-mail at: starman222@juno.com. Is it also available to buy?
