As a survivor of sexual abuse and assault, all I can say is thank you for reminding me that perpetrators have the right to more protection from our laws than I, and their other potential victims do.
I have also had the pleasure of knowing a person who is registered as an offender. This person continues to assault women in ways that are more difficult to prove than rape. He uses his body language and careful words to manipulate his victims into surrendering their power to protect themselves. And when we break away from his madness, he moves on to the next prey. |

alcohol is not an excuse for any behavior. He should still have to register even if he doesnt drink anymore. That is just not fair to the victim , that's like saying oh well i had afew beers but thats oki wouldnt have done it had i been sober. What type of message are we trying to send that sexual offenses r ok as long as they r the results of a person who is drinking?
If thats the case u r giving the ok go ahead and do it signal to anyone who wants to commit these crimes. Go ahead ,just remember to bring the beer? I think Not. |

The Mass Appeals court is becoming a enormous joke!
What kind of morons are running that. IF a male gets severely drunk and rapes a child he is still a pedophile. Now we have towr owryabut these "poor people" having to register for the rest of their lives. What kind of B.S. is that. You do the crime, man the f--- up and suffer the consequences. Only the lowest, most cowardly, disgusting excuse for a human would rape or sexually molest an other, especially a child. Thank you appeals court for once again putting more rights and power into the hands of the criminal. Now all pedophles can blame alcohol. Bring back the death penalty for child rapists/murderers if you want to make yourselves look useful. |

How about applying the same rules to Barney Frank and alcoholics, such as Teddy Kennedy before allowing them to continue disrupting this country with their illegal antics.

LOL. I think he's trying to say, "If these sex offenders records can be expunged, why can't my drug charges? I've been good for a while now." That's just MY take, I'm not sure. Back on topic: If the gun laws in this sorry arse state were the same as most of the rest of the country, these sex offenders would be dealt with swiftly, severely, and justifiably on the spot. Women should carry guns, or at very least, mace, and learn to defend themselves. Because by the time you dial 911, the crime is done. Refuse to be a victim! It's everyone's God given right to defend themselves and their property, and no pissant government has the right to deny you that. Ladies. Take an NRA safety course, and go to the police station in your city/town and get a gun permit. It's easy, it's fun, it will open up a new sport to you, and you will be able to defend yourself in your own home. Join a gun club, and target shoot. Almost all gun clubs have a juniors night where kids are taught gun safety and target shoot. They love it, and they learn so fast, and the moms see them having fun and THEY sign up. Sorry to hijack the thread, but it's such a simple solution. Don't let the state government demonize guns by slowly brainwashing the masses. Guns save lives. |

Ya know with all your rantings, you all forget that some of the people that are on the sex offenders registry board are cops, ex cops, or even judges that got drunk one night, and took a piss in public and got caught. Now they have to register. I think the severe offenders should have to register for life no matter what, but if some kid at 15 touched some other kid under 14 on her vagina, or grabbed her butt or something, but then has not done anything at all for like 18 years, why should he or she have to register?
