Please watch Ch 5 Monday July 5 at 11 PM and Tuesday July 6 at 5:30 for a story on drunk driving. There is a very important bill being presented to allow fairness to all involved in a motor vehicle homicide case. If you agree with the bill, please call your local representatives to show your support. Happy Fourth of July to all.

Dear Paul's Mom,
I used to work with Paul at Philips Lifeline in Framingham, MA. I was a manager, and I had tried to recruit Paul over to my department as he was an outstanding asset to the company. Two departments actually got into a "war" over Paul (it was all very friendly) but I had personally made him a job offer in my department in a higher position which he had accepted. He stayed within his original department until the day he was supposed to start. That day never happened, and I was stunned by the news. I am a mother of a son and a daughter myself. I had ordered a name plaque for Paul and made sure he had everything he needed, we wanted to keep Paul. When I read this article on Boston.com , everything came flooding back about Paul, I had always wished I could tell his mother how wonderful he was.
My good friend also lost her 21 year old daughter, her one and only child, too soon. I have been right there by her side since Day One throughout the grieving process. She has always wanted even the tiniest of details about people's memories of her daughter. Now that I have been able to contact you via this board, I just have to let you know what an amazing person Paul was to be around.
I had never seen someone so young be so mature and responsible in his work. Paul was brilliant. He also had an extremely charismatic personality. He was fantastic in dealing with other people. There is a reason everybody wanted Paul to be in their department, on their team. He was the best. I remember our interview vividly. It wasn't the boring standard interview. Paul was extremely friendly, upbeat and answered questions honestly. I had also interviewed several people outside of the company, strongly recommended to me by Human Resources, but none of them "clicked". I went against many recommendations from HR of people with a lot more experience, but none of them were even close to what I knew Paul could bring to the team. I just knew that not only would Paul be an amazing addition to the team, I knew he had a great career ahead of him if he wanted it. I am going to go watch Channel 5 right now regarding the story about drunk driving. God Bless, and I am sure you know Paul is always with you.
Warm Regards,
Sharon - Philips Lifeline

I just watched the segment about the Drunk Driving loophole in Massachusetts on Channel 5. I had previously read all of the information about this when I read the article on Boston.com . The head of M.A.D.D. said it best regarding the fact that the drunk drivers have fabulous rights, whereas victims and their families do not. I absolutely support getting rid of this loophole.

Also, I meant to mention that we never met as I was in a car accident a week after Paul. I was driving home from work and got T-boned on Edgehill Road in Framingham by a truck pulling out of a parking lot into traffic. I never returned to Philips Lifeline due to my accident. Please feel free to contact me via this board anytime. When I saw you on television, and saw the images of Paul, I felt so much for you. I am saying prayers for you and that this law is changed immediately. God Bless. Sharon

Dear Sharon I'm so sorry its taken me so long to respond. Jennie told me about your response. You brought a true smile and a few tears to me...I remember Paul telling me about his new job that he was supposed to start the following Monday. And he said "I really like my boss too". He was so happy to be moving along....his father and I were so proud.

I also remeber the kids from lifeline telling me about your accident. I am so sorry. I hope things have gotten better for you. I truly appreciate you taking the time to log onto this website to voice your opinion of Paul. We have all lost someone special, someone who could have cared for many and lived his life in public service. It would have suited him. It seems that this job took him out of himself, and found meaning in the assistance of others. Please feel free to contact me personaly, either through Jennie or just stopping by. I would be honored to meet you.

again I must thank all the people and friends of Lifeline who have helped, first Paul and now myself, in this long road of life. I love you guys and would LOVE To hear from you. Talking about Paul makes me feel better....so don't you ever hesitate to call or stop by.
