UFCW Local 179 supports the expansion plans of Tyson Foods. The 420 union workers employed there are looking forward to the availiblilty of new jobs to bid upon. The company is operates under a senority system, and currently has no labor contract with the union. We would caution new hires not to expect to "walk into" these new jobs, and urge them to stop at our office to get the "rest of the story" that Tyson Foods regularly omits from it's press releases...
