After a succesfull sting operation performed by state and local agencies La Pryors casinos were forced to close today (11/6/09) what's this mean for La Pryor? The citizens will now be able to invest their finances elsewhere instead of feeding a bulky machine all day I'm glad to see that something of this magnitude has finally been brought to justice

I bet one of them will try to bribe someone to let them re-open their place up. Once they do that the FBI will get involved and that is serious jail time. But the area is full of corrupt people so you never know what will happe.

All the workers knew that it was illegal. Casinos must be on Indian land or on the water. The only excuse the workers have is that they were trying to make a quick buck.

Not a quick buck. a living just like everyone else. some (not all) of the workers don't gamble they use their money for utility bill and car payments. Maybe thats the only type of work they could get. Not too many jobs around here.

if you are going to justify what they were doing by saying they are making a living just like everyone else does then it's ok for people to sell drugs and haul wets most drug sellers aren't users. get my drift. don't matter what it is if it's illegal that what it is it doesnt make it ok just cause there aren't to many jobs around here!

You know they could go look for work elsewhere like crystal or uvalde or even try working from home.

These workers knew it was illegal. Give me a break! lol Plus the county cops knew these casinos have been there for years and have looked the other way. What's the deal now? I'm glad they shut those things down because all they do is take the people's money and most people there are the ones that don't need to be spending money because they are always broke! But, these people are so hooked, they will probably head to eagle pass (where at least it's legal) and spend their money there AND once again be broke! It's a never ending circle!!!

I thought stevi had a plan for stuff like that and his workers would lie and cover for him. haha. those jackasses think they can lie their way out of it and say they didn't kno about the illegal activity. whats the penalty for lying under oath? stevi and his workers better have their story air tight.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Cancer

Be careful today Cancer, because your emotions could cloud certain issues as they often to and leave you feeling confused. You should be especially wary of believing what you want to believe, rather than believing the evidence in front of your eyes. It's easy to kid yourself now about someone's motives or reliability, even if deep down you know that you're telling yourself a load of old twaddle.
