What good is a diploma if Johnny can't read? How is Johnny going to support himself once he gets into the real world? Like the comment made before mine, the "real world" is cleaning up litter at Camden Yards. Is this the future you want for today's students? If you're one of the folks crying "foul!" over the required passing of HSAs, get off your duff and go volunteer at your local school and help the kids who need the assistance in learning the material. In the end, you'll be helping yourself.
