Did William Lee ever have his sentencing by the judge?

[story is lame-avoidable]

The only thing the shooter is innocent of is old age and ignorance.....there is no reason he could give that would make this ok.
I feel so bad for the wife, daughter and family.
My children will never ride there quads in Queen Creeks desert landscape again.
What the hell is wrong with this world.
I bet he thought the old guy was gonna help him.
Everything happens for a reason....but what the hell is the reason for this.
I'm at a loss.
So sad.
I will pray for his family.
When your gran papa hurts someone.. you need to think how you would have felt if the role was reversed. Time to man up and except your grandpa lived his life....and he took someone elses whom had just begun theirs.

Here is what is going to happen. the police will investigate the whole thing. they will give the information to the prosecutor and then if he thinks there is reason to go to court. the 8-12 people will hear all sides and evidence and make a decision. Accidents do happen even to the best trained weapon specialist. yes poor judgements also happened. it is a shame that a young man is dead and a young family is torn apart. let the legal system work and let all the facts be heard, before we prejudge anyone.

The case has already been heard and the jury found Mr. Lee guilty of negligent homicide. However, the judge was going to give the sentencing this month. I was just wondering if that had been done yet.

As a USARMY Weapons Specialist, I assume you mean you were a Small Arms Repairmen. And as such you of all people know that a weapon will not discharge (fire) without external input of some sort, either by means of the rearward motion of the trigger mechanism, the unintentional disengagement of the sear as can occur when the weapon is dropped or lastly when there is a situation called a hang-fire where as the hammer has fallen onto the primer of the round but the round failed to immediately fire but thus fired at a point in time later. Therefore to hide behind the phony belief that guns kill people and not people kill people with guns is cowardly. I am not aware of the intricate details of the shooting but none the less it was a shooting. The weapon was leveled at some point in the direction of the victom when it discharged, if we can as a whole agree on this first and then work through why, these cases would be cleared up much sooner. I think both families would appreciate if this was closed much sooner than later so all parties can move on.

How about the next time that I'm behind some old couple driving a boat at 25 miles per hour in the far left lane of I10, would it be appropriate to shoot them because I had a moment of anger? William Lee was sentenced last friday. 6 years in prison for the life of a good, decent young family man. Hopefully the ignorant old hillbilly will die in the penitentary. Maybe his cell mate will make him his play-toy. We can only hope.

Personally I'm glad that the killer is receiving some justice. Right from the start of this thread I indicated that this was at minimum negligent homicide. I was right.
