I wish people would slow down and stop for our children in the crosswalks. I just saw a most-near-horrific sight. A crossing guard outside San Tan Heights school in the crossswalk, stop sign up, guiding children across, had to grab a boy by his sweatshirt to stop him within INCHES of being ran over by a red sedan speeding even, through a school crosswalk. I don't even know if this person fully realized the magnitude of their rush. People slow down and stop! One it is the law. Two the time is not worth somebody's life. Really it is not. If you are ten minutes late for work, assume the responsibility and just be late. If that person would have hit the child, they would have been considerably later to work, than if they had waited legally to continue on their trip. They pulled into the school just like a parent dropping off their kids. So how would they feel if that was their kid nearly ran over by some random speeding car? Really, of all the roads to feel no need for consideration for others, a road in front of a school should be the last place. People, I implor you, take time, be courteous, let other drivers in, don't speed, and please watch out for our children. If we don't who will? Thank you to all who read this. A Concerned Mom
