My heart bleeds for this community, the mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, grandparents, and all those who strived day by day to make their community a place of peace. For a people that strive for peace, love and harmony, coupled with hard work and prayer, this abomination, this tragedy is unthinkable. I hope someone who speaks to members of this community will assure them that the prayers and thoughts of so, so many people are with them.

When I first learned of this tragedy, my mouth dropped in awe.
Saddened I had become.
This is and was a coward who lashed out on innocent children and family members along with the community. This is completely unacceptable.
For I am friends with an Amish family near me in New York.
My family here in New York, sends our prayers, thoughts and hope to those lost children, family members and also to the Amish community. For they may find strength, love and peace . They will always be in our prayers. And my family , hopes and prays that they will receive these postings.

There are no words that can express the saddness I feel for this community and family of these young girls. May God and the support of the nation help you, in someway, thru this tragedy. At this time, we need everyone to come together to make sure that this type of horrific crime will never occur again. These are our "children", no matter who they are.

God wanted these children. That He allowed an evil man send them to Him by an evil act is incidental to the Truth that the children are with Christ in Heaven.

Meanwhile, their murderer has begun his eternal torments in Hell.

The loss of a child is the most terrible test of faith no matter how it happens. But children taken so suddenly, with such hatred and violence must be especially heartbreaking. I pray that your faith in Our Lord and Savior strengthen you during this time of shared grief.

You are so right! Americans as a whole need to take responsibility for protecting each other from these type of criminals. Personal security for you and your children is paramount.

The citizens of this country need to prepare themselves and defend their loved ones from the predators in society. I would suggest that people NOT send their children to any school that requires citizens to DISARM themselves before entry. These psychos KNOW their victims will be unarmed and therefore unable to defend themselves.

Armed and determined citizens are a powerful deterrent to this type of mayhem.

To say that God "wanted these children," it is the worst answer to give a parent that has their child taken from this life. Yes, God allowed it but it happened because there is sin in this world. Once God set His world in motion he allows thing to follow the course of nature... man's sin. If He does intervene.. then we call it a miracle. God allows bad things to happen because He knows good can come of some situations. Things that we don't always understand. To say that God "wanted" these children will only cause anger and resentment toward God. God doesn't want his creation hurt in this respect. It saddens him as well. You make it sound as if God was responsible for the destruction rather than the one man who chose to allow sin to set and fester in his own life.

Agree with Someone Reading in Buck Creek,IN. to say God wanted these children was said to us when our daughters died. is the most unbelievable a person could say when ones children die before us their parents. God does allow things to happen and we as God's children are to learn from tragedy. we're to love our neighbors as ourselves Jesus taught this. lets all remember to pray for these girls and their families, the community, and also Marie Roberts and her children as they aren't to be left out of prayers and love. everyone is grieveing for all in this most horrid situation. remember the Dr's,nurse's and all who are caring for the girls who are in the hospital and all law enforcement, corner, who has had to see this horrid act of senselesss violence. remember God loves each of us no matter race religion or creed. And don't pray just now pray always and remember that's it's God will in our lives not ours. we deeply pray for everyone.

My heart is really heavy with sadness thinking of those poor little girls and how frightened they must have been in their last hours. Sadness for their mothers, fathers, and family - sending your child off to school and never see them again - How heartbreaking. There are forces of good and evil in this world, and unfortunately the devil won this round. I wonder if he choose this particular community to see if their strong faith in God could be broken.

All these words of comfort. Yet no one does anything to stop the next one. America's lack of any morall code, (less money) is the cause of these tragedies. They do not happen any where else. Only in America.

These school tragedies happen in other countries. It isn't just here in America. You think America is bad? As bad as this country is now there are other countries a lot worse.

September 1st, 2004 200 children died in a hostage situation in South Africa.

Once when I sat and thought about where I would go if the U.S. got to bad to live... there were no better options. The U.S. is about as good as the blessing gets until Christ returns.

You forgot the Russia school massacer. I am not talking of political/civial murders. Americas schools massacrers are from severly evil people, out to kill because they can. Big difference.
