Response to all:

Many points well made and I am in no way desiring an argument with anyone, including Scott Nail. I apologize that I have little trust in the moves he is making and that my distrust has been made public.

I will gather the information as I can afford it, I will post it for you to make your own assumption. But let me throw this out there for you: the government is continually cutting and limiting reimbursement for Medicare and Medicaid patients; the population in Quanah is ever declining (if you doubt that, drive around and take note of the number of empty/for sale homes to be seen); incomes in Quanah are not growing nor is the job market --- who is going to pay for all this?

And before you begin with the mantra, "the hospital lowered tax rates", unless your property valuation declined, your taxes either remained the same or went up. You do the math (tax rate x (home valuation/100)=taxes. Do it based on the old tax rate and the new tax rate and you will see for yourself what implications that has for you.

Can anybodt tell me why D.Brownlow was not asked to replace the deceased board member? It appears she is more qualified than any person on the board. Why are we the tax payers allowing such corruption? Our city, county and now the hospital is a benefit to a select few.
She is too smart to be on the board. Baldy has surrounded himself with folks that ask no questions because they do not have the intelligence to do so. Look at the administrative employees. They have no education to speak of and they wouldn't know right from wrong. He fired his chief financial officer and then did not hire anyone with the credentials to actually do the job and understand what was what.

Everything is computerized so I believe interested individuals should be able to take a CD to the office and request copies of the files they want. This should NOT cost very much. It would only take a few minutes.

I just don't get it, Scott Nail's secretary's Mother gets the appointment, not someone who ran for the election, spent money and time for an elected office with no pay..... I don't get it?????well , lots in this town I don't get.... but the times r a changin, just works differently in Quanah, it is the top to the bottom, no thing as working your way up

Scott Nail does not want and will not allow anyone to be on this board that he can not control, manipulate, bully, and intimidate. Ms. Lindsey's daughter is employed by the hospital and her sister ran the last hospital election polling site. At this polling site, her other daughter also was working. How convenient for Scoll Nail and his personal agenda. We are in trouble here but it seems not enough people care.

Wrong last name and come from the wrong family.

I have the latest financials (PE 10/31/10) if anyone is interested in them. Only cost $40 for their time, labor, paper and ink.

Would someone else kindly request the financial for Hardeman Health Services and Hardeman County Memorial Hospital so we can compare notes (I want to be sure that what I am reading is correct). Month ended 10/31/2010.

I will continue to ask for the information and I will post it for all to see. The hospital should be posting this information for the public's knowledge as this is OUR county hospital and is funded in part by OUR hospital taxes.

If I am reading the financial reports I received correctly, and I will admit to not being a genius, the hospital has lost a signficant amount of money through October 2010 -- that being the case, how do they expect to fund Leslie Manor ($4500 a month for medical director- who IS the medical director?), AND build and operate a nursing home?

Butch Hall, if you read this please contact me to go over the financial information I have to make sure I am reading it correctly.

Now, what exactly is a payroll reimbursement (who reimburses whom and why?)? Who exactly is employed by Leslie Manor (names and positions of the employees)? Hospital is running Senior Citizens as well? I am learning something new every day and one thing I have learned is that: absolute power is never a good thing and Scott Nail has been given absolute power and authority over all things medical in Hardeman County.

Can the citizens afford it (and him)?

Running negative numbers over and over is not good. All these debts will come due sooner or later.I wonder who will get blamed;will they pass the buck to the tax payers? Will they say it's our fault because we voted in the board members?I wonder how long it will take for the the Head Honcho to skip town when it starts falling apart? Can a county hospital become a repo?

I think Scott Nail has done a wonderful job. Thank goodness we have him.

Don't listen to these people Scott. The vast majority support the great things you are doing in our community.

The vast majority support the great things he has done in the community because they are too busy sticking their heads in the sand to do their own research and investigation into the operations of their local hospital. That is fine, except should (when) things go south it is going to be these same people bellyaching because someone came along and kicked them in the seat of their pants (oh my, how on earth did such a terrible thing happen -- who is responsible for that)? Hello, the taxpayers and voters are reponsible for that!

Two things standing out on the recent information gathered from the hospital:
(1) Medicare audits completed in 2010 found expired meds, IV fluids, and needles in the crash carts in the ER-- some of which expired in 2000
(2)-$1.3M on the financials for the period ended October 31, 2010

If things are so great, how come the information is not published openly for all to see? The hospital, as a community entity and a source of tax revenue, should be mandated to make known all aspects of their operations. Not just what a few deem appropriate.

Anyone wishing to view any of the information that I have gathered is welcome to let me know and we can go over it together. Who knows, maybe I, in my ignorance, am reading it incorrectly. I am, after all, a graduate of the Quanah school system.

Wait a second. Are you saying that the hospital keeps hidden the information that you included in your comment?

If so, did you just confess to having broken into the hospital to steal it?

Sounds like a job for the Texas Rangers!

They are not worried about what they spend, the note for everything is covered by the tax payers, no matter how many years it takes or if the hospital is even open. The momey WILL be paid back
