Yes Mom...we are all sure they are innocent. You must be so proud to raise a son who can't read a map, use a GPS, or keep his nose out of areas he shouldn't be in. Bravo!

Yeah- I don't think the mother gets they can charge anybody with anything, and that's exactly what they're doing.

The mother doesn't get it. Her son is being used as a political pawn by Iran. It doesn't matter to Iran whether he's innocent or not, what matters to them is what concessions they can pry out of the U.S. as the price for his release.

That's why American civilians should stay the heck away from the borders of countries that have tense relations with the U.S.

Let the 3 of them rot in an Iranian jail cell. There is no sympathy for their stupidity.

I would have to ask the mom if she raised her kid to be such a retard! Who goes out on a hike in one of the most volatile areas in the world ... and then gets captured?

An actual spy working for the CIA might 'pretend' to be hiking in that area.

The only explanation is that these kids are complete morons with out a clue ... or they really ARE spies.

You are very correct. I believe 3 or more Iranian "diplomats" were captured in Iraq a year ago, and are still being held. My guess is that Iran wants them released in some sort of exchange.

The US is responsible for over 500,000 Iranian deaths when we backed and supported Saddam Huessain (sp?) in the Iran/Iraq war. Over 1,000,000,000 people lost their lives in that war and we armed and trained the Iraqis.

How could we EVER expect Iran to forgive us for this atrocity. Especially when all we had in mind was OUR best interests! What a 2-faced coward the US has been in this region.

These three so called jounalist hikers, should have learned a lesson from the other two journalists in Korea, how many times are these idiots going to risk their lives, I have no sympathy for stupidity. They know the danger over there, if the parents knew about it they are just as stupid they should of gone also. STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES.

Sorry Mom. I don't care if your kid was or wasn't a spy. I don't care if he was a door to door Mary Kay cosmetic salesman or Jehovah's Witness trying to convert someone.

Those 3 were foolish, naive, irresponsible, childish, selfish and plain stupid to be "hiking on vacation" in that region.

Get a clue and leave my tax dollars out of rescuing them. It was THEIR choice.

What a ####. If you go in that part of the world you are asking for trouble. The citizens even have a hard time living there. Why would anyone go there. What a waste of time and money that these dumb### are causing the US government by putting themselves in this situation.

again, why were they even there in the first place?....irresponsible and spoiled brats no doubt...and again, as posted here before, when they are finally released they will come home as heroes, book deals, movie deals, talk show circuit, the whole 9 yards. I would stop short of saying this was all planned because I doubt that they had the intelligence between the 3 of them to come up with such a stupid plan to begin with.
I wish no ill will on any of them but it is so effen sickneing to read about these 3 aho's and their stupidity and how they are putting their poor parents thru heck trying to deal with all of this. As a parent who has lost a child I can know what they must be feeling....each of these 3 kids, er adults, should be bichslapped until they bleed for their senseless and selfish actions once they are released....and believe me, Iran WILL succumb to the pressure and release these folks but it may take a while.....which is OK becuase it will give these 3 time to gather more info for their new movie.....

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Taurus

Keep calm! Your emotions are becoming increasingly heightened and intense today. As a result, you're likely to take things much more seriously than usual. That's wonderful if you're involved in a hot and heavy encounter with Mr or Ms Right, but it won't be such good news if you go overboard about silly trifles. If you're doing some last-minute shopping you'll want to be as extravagant as your budget allows. Or is it a case of Budget...? What budget?
