What's the deal with the area of Dewsbury Lane and surrounding streets. That whole area is filled with strange folk. I saw last weekend a family move their tv and chairs in their front yard, Half the people don't mow their grass, some idiot drives a hummer yet lives in a dump. Where are we WEst Virginia?

Ever notice how may people park in their front lawns over there? Wonderful place! NOT!

I am a resident on dewsbury lane. I have lived here most of my life. The neighbors on the street are very kind, are great folks, helpful and generous. Most of them have been there for 25+ years and care about their properties and their neighbors.

I can honestly say that most of the neighbors at least on that street are good people and look out for one another.

For you to bash good contributing members of the town is just idiotic and plain stupid. Shows how foolish u really are.

Regarding the riffraff, all the car damage etc and was caused by a few teens in the area. Teens were the problem here, not the neighborhood so get your facts straight.

Respect your neighbors, you never know when u will need them.

Dewsbury is probably one of the better streets if not the best, i know some of the area has undesirables but to lump them all into one category is moronic to say the least.

You live there? I am sorry. not for the comments, but for the fact that you live there. Maybe you live in a giant bubble because your neighborhood looks like a giant bomb of incest went off.

Whether the people are nice or not, doesn't have any relevance to the fact that the area looks like a dump.

I drove through and saw a car parked with the doors open blasting music, so the person can hear rap music while working on a bike in their driveway, the one yard hasn't been cut for what seems like all summer, there is graffiti on all the signs, every weekend packs of dumpy teens hang out on the corners, and I literally see a family with their entire living room, tv and all, out in the freakin front yard watching wheel of fortune.

Come on now. Have some respect and tell your neighbors to read some books (not the ones with pictures).

And if this is the nicest neighborhood in quakertown, then what the heck does the rest of the town look like? Ive seen nicer ghettos in philly, and they atleast have barber shops.

I guess I would do heavy drugs if I lived on that street too. Any explainations?

I'd park in the front yard too if I lived on a street that was designed by an imbred farmer. theres like 2 parking spaces on the whole block.

Ignorant moron is right. If this neighborhood disgusts you so much then why are you driving around it? Funny, based on your lack of grammar and spelling skills, you're just like the people who you "think" live here. Take your pompous a$$ back to your own neighborhood.

You are a moron, what is there something wrong with people sitting outside enjoying themselves. The very fact that you said you drive through the neighborhood must mean you are one of those morons with nothing better to do then cruise around neighborhoods and up and down 309 all night. You should make some friends and maybe they would invite you over to their house to hang out on a nice summer night.

Actually, like most people, use that overcrowded development to cut through to or from 663. It's one big clusterf**k, and I'm glad I don't live there. No wonder people park on their lawns, there's no place to park any more than 2 cars per unit. did anyone drive through when the boro was repaving braithwaite lane? What a mess.

My mother in law lives there and the only problem is parking. If you and your neighbor have tiny cars you can both park out front on the St. I always feel bad when I go visit and Parkin the corner so I don't take up someones spot out front.

What a house looks like is secondary to the fact people are nice. I guess youíd rather live in a nice looking neighborhood surrounded by mean, rotten, nasty, wicked and evil people.

Get a clue as to what's really important in life.

I lived on Dewbury for many years, it was a GREAT neighborhood. We looked out for each other, had block party's and knew each other.
Now sadly slumlords are buying up the houses and renting them out to people who just don't care because it isn't their house.
Yeah the parking left much to be desired, but I knew if people were coming over I could park down the street on roantree.
I wonder why the person who started the thread was driving on Dewsbury? It's a horseshoe...unless you live on the street why are you driving thru?
I admit since moving 5 years ago I don't miss the parking problems or the small yards, but I sure miss the great neighbors.
Remember when people bought their homes 25+ years ago it was a really nice place, they can't help slumlords taking over.

Lmao! I live here and I couldn't agree with you more. Some of the people that live here could care less that their neigbors have to look at their trash. Others will play their music extremely loud and some park in the middle of the street and have conversations while cars are trying to drive by. The children are left unattended for hours. God forbid the pediphile comes out for a walk. He would have free pickings. Ignorance at it's finest. I am surrounded by it.

BTW I have GREAT neighbors too! Actually the majority of them are fantastic. It only takes a few to spoil the bunch, which is bad for me and all the others that take very good care of our properties.

My friend has lived there for a few years now. Other than a few bad kids, no complaints. His neighbors are great, houses well kept and his kids are certainly not left unattended. There's a few little kids who do wander around which is pretty stupid in this day and age, you're right about that. When I go there, I might have to park a couple houses down, but as I am a human being, walk upright and am not allergic to exercise like a lot of folks, I don't view that as a problem. Just curious why you don't move - you make it sound like the 7th circle of hell?

We are waiting to get a nice chunk of equity in our home. It is by far not the worst place to live I am sure, but it has it's cons. As long as you have good neighbors on either side of you.:)

How do you expect to make any money (equity) on your house if you live in a craphole as you explain it? I do live in this development and itís nice, I donít live on Dewsbury. Cheap mortgage makes it possible to save money and not be house poor, its people like you that make this development sound like itís a bad place to live. You are probably the neighbor no one likes.

Actually, you are wrong. My house is by far the opposite of a craphole. I am a neat freak. I like everything perfect, including my yard. Good try though. But when I look out my window across the street, it is a different story. It is a shame that so many people that live in this neigborhood with their small plot of land and they can't even weedwack, mow, or pick up their trash. Pure laziness. It isn't a ton of people, but enough to make everything look like a cluster-f*ck in certain areas. This is exactly what I get for living in a development. BTW if you are a homeowner, then you would know how equity works. HA! And my neighbors do love me, because I care. That is why they give me their spare house key to watch their house when they are away. Have a great day neigbor!
