Heavener Supply stops fuel delivery & HVAC service. Looking to sell rest of company. Alice Heavener wife of founder died last week at age 100.

LOWER SALFORD — Another local business has been hit by the tough economy.

Heavener Supply Inc. announced recently that it will no longer deliver fuel or offer heating and cooling services, and has entered into an “outsourcing” service agreement with Lansdale-based Clyde S. Walton Inc. to handle those duties.

“There will be a seamless transition of our delivery service to Walton’s. Under our agreement, Walton’s will be responsible for all fuel deliveries and heating and cooling service. They will bill clients for their deliveries and accept their payments,” said Heavener President Keith W. Heavener in a letter addressed to a sister paper of The Times Herald.

“We are not closing. We have been hit very hard by the economic situation and we are restructuring the company to ready it for sale. We thank you for your years of patronage and your continued support.”

It's no surprise...if their home heating oil is as expensive as their landscaping supplies in Qtown!

In the article it says the president's grandmother, who was the founder's wife died last week. I'm guessing she still owned the company and left it to him, now he's selling.

They didn't honor their pre-paid contracts. Their brochure stated any money remaining after the heating season would be refunded if requested. They did not honor the request of their customers. They kept the money and screwed the customer.

They tried to do the same thing to me. I kept complaining until they gave me my money back. If you don't get anywhere complaining to them, file a complaint with the state or take them to small claims court. If you win the case, you get all your court costs back.

You were lucky. Filed a complaint with the State Attorney Generals office. Not enough people complained, they wouldn't do anything.
