People who live in Spinnerstown and Trumbauersville and other places have to drive up to 5 miles id say to go food shopping. Quakertown and Richlandtown have access to supermarkets within blocks away.

663 is heavily traveled and there is plenty of land to do it! Put a Giant or a Super Walmart with a food department right next to Wawa.

Then move to Richland or the Borough.

Boo hoo! Stop whining!

Since when does Richlandtown have a grocery store? Unless you count 7-11.

What about people in Haycock? They have to drive winding back roads all the way into town! You at least have a nice, fast highway to drive at 55.

That's the price you pay for living there. Didn't you know this when you moved in?

You can't have it both ways. You can have a supermarket and congestion, or no supermarket and no congestion. Wait until the area is jambed with houses, then they'll be a supermarket.

That property next to Wawa is still farmed and has been used for the farmer's produce stand in the summer that all us locals buy from.I have a better idea put a Giant or Walmart in your back yard or move in town. We do not need anymore stores or congestion on 663!!!!!!!!1

No more stores or congestion on 663?

Would that include the horrible apt's and nursing home build up on 663 thats going to take 10 years to build, as well or just near the turnpike area?

I say we put a water treatment center and a grave yard over there instead of all those apt's, dead people never bothered anyone and they dont drive so no real congestion issues!

Well, now that you mention graveyard...Joan Rivers and Edgar Rosenberg purchased that property (corner of Portzer and 663, backing up to Blackledge Estates) and sold to Milford as a cemetery, when, in fact, they were trying to put a convention center on that property, but the whole project got shot down.

The corner of 663 and portzer road including the barn and farm is milford townships; Im talking all the way to blackledge and continuing towards the turnpike? I thought that was reserved land, like farm land that the person who has the house and the barn owns? I didnt think they couls build on that. Help me out as I dont know...

Have you been living in a time warp? That property from Portzer to Mill Hill is scheduled for a big development. The person who farms the land doesn't own it. The house and barn have been rented for at least 20 years. Read these Topix posts.

I don't think a supermarket somewhere out there is that bad of an idea. A Wegmans next to Wawa on 663 would be amazing.

I haven't a clue who owns the land. Just an idea. I don't think it's really "timbuktoo" out there either. How many developments are there in Milford? It's already getting built up in that spot, with all the hotels etc. Might as well.

You remind me of the people who move next to an airport and them complain about the noise. You wanted to be away from the congestion and noise of town, this is one of the inconviences you have to deal with. Get over it!
