Anyone know of a local tree farm where you can go and cut down a tree?

My neighbors usually go to Bob Whites Farm...I think it is out towards Spinnerstown. I might be wrong...but I'm pretty sure that is the name of it.

Yes, Bob White Acres/Wata Farms. Great cider too.

663 to Spinnertown Rd.- make rt. follow to big church on left, make left and it's up on the right hand side. Take your 4x4 as it can get muddy.

Green, Are they already cut? Or do they cut them down for you? Or give you a saw and let you have at it?

I think you can tag it and come back for it, they are not cut, I'm sure they would help you, bring rope.

I have cut many trees down off 663 and Gerryville Pike, they let you tag and I think it is still there on E. Buck Road - price was just right at $28.00 too!

We have been going to Wata Farm/Bob White Acres for 13 years now. I love them. They are very reasonable, one flat price depending on the type of tree (douglas fir, blue spruce, frasier fir, etc) not size. Also, they do NOT allow tagging, but there are so many beautiful trees to choose from. I have never been disappointed. You cut down your own tree and for those who like to include your 4 legged family members, they are welcome as well. I will post prices later as we are getting our tree today.

Does anyone know the phone number for bob white xmas tree farm?? can't find it in the yellow pages. I know they sometimes close when it's too muddy so I would like to call first. Thanks

I would love a man to help fell a tree for me and use his truck to bring it back to my apartment.

Any takers? I'll make it worthwhile.

I can help with the tree, but no extracurricular activity.

I have never been to a cut your own tree farm. Do you have to bring a saw, or do they lend you one? Also, do they wrap or tie the tree for you, or are you own your own? Thanks again.

They provide the saw. They tie the tree for you. However, you probably should bring rope to tie it to your car.

And wear boots and clothes you don't mind getting muddy. It also wouldn't hurt to bring something to put on the floor of your vehicle in case it is muddy, like newspaper or a trash bag. I forget every year and scramble to find something...
