This was once a beautiful county and now it's going to cr*p! I've lived here 39 years and I am ready to move. Drugs, gang activity, trash moving in from all directions (philly, allentown, trenton, new york)! We need more police clean up here. I will contribute the extra tax money!

I feel your pain. Same things happening in FL. Just seems like police don't care or be proactive against crime.

OK, let me get this straight, NO DRUGS at all were found on these two guys, or in their homes. They have been arrested solely on the basis of words interrupted by a cop to be "colorful drug euphemisms?"
Good Lord, This was once a wonderful and free country, where conversations were private, possession was 9/10ths of the law, and to be arrested one actually had to commit a crime, not just use colorful euphemisms...
I wonder if back in the 1920's cops arrested people who used "colorful euphemisms" suspected to be about moonshine? I suspect not, I suspect that police back then had at least some respect for the constitution and for rights of citizens to use whatever euphemisms they wanted to. Not so today it would seem...
These other folks who posted here should be very careful. Someday in the future, terms like "trash moving in from all directions (philly, allentown, trenton, new york)" may be considered to be "colorful HATE SPEECH euphemisms" and lead to the arrest of whoever said them!
Arresting folks for speech is a slippery slope.
AMENDMENT IV: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

"Defense attorney William McElroy challenged Officer Mosiniak's (Chief of Bucks Counties new Speech & Thought Police Division) interpretations of the cryptic computer posts, saying they had been ''taken out of context,'' and pointed out that no hate propaganda of any kind were seized after the alleged incedent."

I have yet to see this HATING guy actually make a point here. Were it not for his obvious disdain for anyone moving to Bucks County from selected regional cities, and the same disdain for anyone who disagrees with his somewhat belligerent opinion, he's got nothing. There is no point being made, no definition of the problem, no solution to the problem, no specifics concerning the problem, no nothing.

The point I am trying to make however, concerns the wisdom of arresting citizens on something as flimsy and ill-defined as "colorful drug euphemisms." I mean let me see that bale of weed, lets see those bags of white powder, lets see something real, something tangible, who cares about phone conversations, and some cops translation of what these conversations allegedly ment. Heck, that is not fact at all, its just opinion. Any Judge should throw this case out of court and admonish the DA to do some real investigation before bringing anything like this to trial again.

Is the drug culture the only place we will find "colorful euphemisms?" My guess would be no. Are we, as a society going to insist on micro-analyzing those "colorful euphemisms" we find elsewhere? This could be a can of worms....

Basically this all comes back to the problem that euphemisms in general can have multiple meanings, or no meanings, they can be impossible to define and to chart... after all as Sigmund Freud said, "sometimes a cigar is just a cigar"

You seem to know a lot and nothing about this case all at the same time. I am curious if you have seen the probable cause affidavit to know there isn't any concrete evidence. Secondly, this is only a preliminary hearing, held by a district judge, to find out if there is enough evidence to take to the Court of Common Pleas. Maybe the DJ will find that the Colorful Euphemisms that you speak of are the only evidence and dismiss it. I doubt it though.

My issue with once-beautiful Bucks is that the builders greedy public officials have built it up and congested it. The city (philly) has so much crime that it's moving out here and bringing its ways to the suburbs. What is the solution? MOVE! And keep the trash moving in.

I don't hate Bucks County, but let's get real here.
These people know how to 'play' the system. They basically have their own language. They obviously know the risk of getting caught and that is why drugs were not found. How are we as a society supposed to get rid of this problem with illegal drugs? The "colorful euphemisms" actually do mean something. When your dealing with drugs, your not dealing with a 'can of worms'. As far as Freud goes, I don't think he could have any input on the drug use and problem in today's society...'sometimes an eight ball of coke is an eight ball of coke'......

You don't know the full story. You are reading what the papers say. One of the men involved is my loser father and i hope he goes to jail... along with the other men involved. The damage these men have done to their families is obscene. You should be happy these men will be off the streets.
Thanks though for your lack of knowledge in the matter.

Tina, I'm really sorry to hear that has happened to you and your family. I know how crappy it is to have a relative pull this kind of sh$t. I had an uncle and a brother who tore our family apart because of drugs. I hope that things get better for you and your family.

My name is Michael McGettigan, and I was one of the men in this case. I was released from prison 6 months ago. I was not a drug dealer, I was a marajuana user, that's all. I was charged as a dealer in a drug ring that simply did not exist. If you have any questions about this case please feel free to contact me anytime. My email address is mmcgettigan@hccbank.com
