Thought this might be of interest to some people. I read this on a flyer at Caseys....1st Annual Pizza Eating Contest will be held on Sept. 6th at 1:00 PM 1st Prize:$250 bucks 2nd Prize:$100 bucks Only held to 1st 25 participants i believe. I am not sure if it will be held inside Dominicks in downtown Q town or outside...but this could develope into something as big as the Coney Island hotdog eating contest. I think it will be pretty funny and interesting to see all types of people woof down pizza as fast as they can. I know in college i could eat a pie pretty easily, but then again, i was drunk. Do you know a possible champ?! Is it your neighbor? Friend? Who do you know that can out eat a family of four? Inform then and have them become the 1st Q town Pie Eating Champ!

Mark, ever heard of the 'Wing Bowl' in Philly? Maybe we could have a Pizza Bowl here someday!
If you're that uptight about eating, move to southern California and eat salad with all the nutjobs out there!

Just what we need, more Fatties in town. Hello, anyone heard of the obesity epidemic. Then when they have health issues they'll expect the poor EMS people to lift their fat asses into the ambulances & hurt their backs.

It's a disgusting event that mocks the dangers of obesity. Do you have any sense of culture and appreciation for history? Must you lower the status of our Bucks County town by proposing a "Pizza Bowl?"

As for the obesity, at 99 pounds, the Black Widow sure ain't the poster child for obesity! If you're that uptight about it, move to southern California and and eat tofu with all the other nuts out there!

This isn't exactly the image Quakertown Alive wants for downtown Quakertown. For the good of the community I would urge Dominick's to reconsider this idea. We should embrace our cultural history and location between New York and Philadelphia, and refrain from childness entertainment.

I see nothing wrong with having some fun and actually bringing people downtown for an event like this. Some of you people take things and life way to seriously. Lighten up, have some fun. No wonder Quakertown can't shake its 1950's ways with people like you. I guess since everyone is so fat and no one should have fun, we should shut down all the ice cream places, water ice places, that 50's retro place and all the food joints because they too would increase the fatness! Cmon'..some of you enjoy blowing something way out of proportion. It's a damn pizza eating contest. It's nont some bikini wrestling event.

It would certainly draw a crowd...Look at the Wing Bowl in Philly...they have to have it in the Wachovia Center now because it's so big! QA should be all over this like flies on sh*t.. if it gets people downtown..why not? BTW: It's 'childish,' not 'childness.' I thought you'd like to know.

Are you kidding Lacey? Have you ever tried getting a pizza in Alabama? Those people consider Domino's pizza. It's an abomination.
