Watching the news today was rather interesting as foreign citizens were tearing themselves apart at hate for the US. Let us withdraw and let them seek their own demise. Nothing new here, but let no more US parents lose a child. The war on terrorism must be fought- by those a-holes.

And Obama needs to STOP sending money to these countries so they can fund terrorism.

That's why I don't want the Republicans to win. They're war mongers and will get us into another war or two or three....

What happened to "Blessed are the peacemakers,...?" (Matthew 5:9)

Obama ordered the surge in Afghanistan.

Clinton started Bosnia.

LBJ ramped up Vietnam that JFK started.

Truman ended WWII and started Korea.

FDR started WWII.

Last time I checked, these are DEMOCRAT war mongers.

Who started WWII for the US?
Does Pearl Harbor ring a bell? QSD? Too funny.

Our war was with Japan, just as the current situation was started by bin Laden and his band of merry men. Germany didn't attack us, neither did N. Vietnam, nor did N. Korea, but Dem presidents sent us there.

I think the point of that post was to point out the hypocrisy of calling Republicans, or anyone for that matter, war mongers, when more Dem presidents in recent history have engaged this country in wars.

I don't want the Democrats to win either. I'd like to see the Libertarian party win an election for a change and see if they could do things any better but that would probably only happen in an alternate reality.

I was thinking mainly of Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq. What was accomplished for the good of America and/or the world through these wars? Not only have they been expensive financially, but the vets have been damaged in ways we'll never comprehend if we haven't been there ourselves. Why are so many who served in the last 11 years commiting suicide?

My uncles all came home from WWII alive and physically intact. They went on to marry, have successful lives, and healthy families. They came home knowing they'd helped to free imprisoned Jews, re-establish England and France's peace, and punished Japan for their attack on Pearl Harbor.

What have our recent vets of Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan come home and been able to say they accomplished? What can our Republican/Democratic government say has been accomplished?
