Should Women Be Allowed in Combat?

The Pentagon just announced an official easing of the rules restricting the role of female soldiers in front-line units. Unofficially, women have been serving honorably (and being injured and killed) in these positions for many years. This does not include combat roles, e.g., infantry, tanks, etc. Should they be allowed on the battlefield if they can meet the same physical and other requirements as the men?

Sure why not.
No one can deny the drive and bravery of the women soldiers we have now.
The only real limitations are ones that women cannot overcome for example upper body strength vs men.
Also the sheer physical abuse that you can get away with men that women cannot match.
Living in a muddy trench for six weeks is something that unfortunately women can not handle.
On the positive side women tend to shoot better than the average male and they can handle higher G-loads than men.
Those physical limitations are the reason why armor and infantry are two sections that they cannot serve in.
The current method of promotion tends to value soldiers with combat time over those who do not have combat experience.
So opening more jobs that women can serve in helps them to "be all they can be".

YES they should and will serve with honor.I have no problem with serveing in front line combat zones with the ladies. I have served with women in Iraq and have to tell you the truth the were calmer than some male counterparts, when I got hurt it was a female truck driver that pulled me to saftey during an ambush. more power to them give them what they want, God bless the women and men of our armed forces.and God bless the USA.
