Finally Armstrong admits to the world in an interview with Oprah that he DID use performance enhancing drugs, doping etc.. There should be NO pity for him. He broke rules, cheated, lied, misrepresented himself and disgraced his sport & sponsers and showed NO respect for those who stood by his side and defended him. My thoughts are for them. He betrayed their trust. Also why go to Oprah? Because he believes if he gets her forgiveness all will forgive him. Doubt that. We all make mistakes and deserve forgiveness. But he was given MANY MANY chances to come clean. He should NEVER be allowed back into the sport. I am very thankful he has overcome Cancer. May he not use that as an ploy for his forgivness of lying and betrayal and illegalities. That would be such a slap in the face to all others who have and have beaten the disease.

Such a non issue in any of our lives.
Worry about something that matters.

The Duke wonders how he passed hundreds of random drug tests over the years. The Duke also hates bikes and wishes that they all would get off the road and out of the way!!

When the guy is a role model and so many people came out to support him when he had cancer AND our tax dollars were used to promote this CHEAT and LIAR, then yes, it is an issue!

He lied under oath about doping. He should do time for it. He's a fake, cheat, and liar.

He scammed the world.

I agree. How many of these Armstrong wannabes in spandex do you see hogging the road and ignoring stop signs and traffic signals.

Ever drive through center city in Philly? They're all over the place, even on sidewalks. I'd love to open my car door when one is pedaling by...

Disclaimer: This is not directed at the casual biker, just the fruits in spandex.

If you recall he discredited Gregg Lamond and his sponsorship of Trek bikes, and cost him millions. Now it comes out that Armstrong was lying all along. Zero character!!!

Did he affect me personally, other than to disappoint and sadden me? No. But to say he committed no crime and didn't affect anyone is just plain shortsighted and wrong. It may not rise to the level of being sent to jail, but he lied under oath and violated contract terms with sponsors and sanctioning bodies, which could amount to criminal fraud charges. He certainly will face civil suits amounting to tens of millions of dollars in compensation and damages from companies who used his endorsements. As far as affecting people, he not only tarnished the reputation of the sport and the country, his actions mean reduced donations to the Livestrong charities and less financial help to cancer victims.
He should and will be held accountable.
