They would rather protect the rich then help the middle class Unless you're rich you're stupid to back any republican because they just don't have the best interest at heart for the average middle class person. They talk about saving America's lower and middle class But when they get in office they screw us. G.W. Bush is a perfect example of that. And now after just 3 1/2 years of President Obama trying to fix Bush's screw up you want to go back to that same bullshit that got us in the mess were in today

Your absolutely right, neither one of us will be swayed. But I don't consider myself stupid, I'm not gay, not on welfare, food stamps or Medicaid. In fact my husband and I live on his earned pension and health insurance.. He & I have always felt that as working class people, we couldn't afford to be republican and still can't. The repubs have never appealed to me. I don't care about gays or abortion, it doesn't bother me. I'm not the one that has to answer to God for other peoples actions. I do however have enough sense to know that either way legal or not it doesn't pay my bills or put food on the table. The repubs have always been for the rich and powerful, not the common man. If they hadn't of been the party of No these last 3 plus years we might all be better off than what we all are now. These 2 wars from the last administration has to be paid for somehow. The tax breaks for the rich hasn't created jobs like they were intended to do either. If they had created the jobs they were suppose to then why do we have the unemployment rate that we now have? And honestly if Romney loves this country as he claims then why not invest in this country? Why is his money in off shore accounts? He's a master at buying up companies, bankrupting them and moving those jobs overseas. I quite honestly think the reason he doesn't want to show his taxes is because we as Americans will see that yes he is better off today than he was four years ago.. I know I am.

It simply amazes me that anyone could call college students receiving pell grants "takers". We attend college to better out lives and futures! Everyone was not born with a silver spoon sticking out of their mouth. Some of us were born dirt poor and the only way to change it is a college education! Without Pell grants, the majority of us couldn't attend school. Therefore we will be stuck at minum wage jobs for the rest of our lives. Eventually we would probably wind up on foodstamps or welfare, pell grants help you get your life on track and stay out of the system! Less college grads means more people on welfare. Do the math. Or we could go to school get good jobs and not have to rely on the system! I don't know about the rest of you but I am proud to say I am a full time college student maintaining a 3.5 GPA. Meanwhile holding a full time time job as I have since before high school. I have worked for everything I own as I always will. What no one seems to understand is that the 48% is not only those who abuse the system. It is also hardworking low income Americans!!!! Your ignorance does show through when you make statements such as those! I don't choose my candidate based on being a democrat or a republican. I have said pretty much everything you said in my previous posts and these people do not get it....It is true as you stated a large part of the 47% are hard working people who are making wages so low that they can not support their families...thus pay in little or no tax....I'd lay that blame on....the employer maybe.....the rest of us who are or have gone to college do so to better our lives so we can indeed make more money. I don't know about your situation, but I do pay some amount of taxes, as well every year pay property tax and we all pay taxes on everything we buy. I did take out student loans to cover the cost that grants and scholarships did not pick up and am now paying interest on those loans as well! These people who would call all of us takers have got to be wealthy people, because I know no person who at some point hasn't taken out a student loan, received a pell grant (many who's parents could afford to pay for it btw), gotten a tax credit for their children, received medicaid or medicare, received unemployment after losing a job or couldn't at some point have been put in this category.

Personally i was born with nothing. Worked hard and put myself through school and made a good life for me and my family. If i had my way everyone in this country who would maintain a preset gpa would get college for free.

Gas was $1.86 when obama was sworn in, you know what it is now.
Obama promised shovel ready jobs, he passed a multi trillion dollar stimulus package, promising if we would give it to him, unemployment would go below 5.4%. It hasnt been below 8% since he took office. he gave all that money to companies like Solyndra and other "green" companies that his buddies and campaign contributors were highly invested in. In return they gave him kickbacks for his re-election.

He has spent more money in 4 years than bush spent in 8.
He has spent more in 4 years than all previous presidents in the history of our country combined!

He doesnt govern he rules, like a dictator. He stomps all over the constitution. If he cant get congress to go along with him he passes an "executive order" and does it anyway.
As for him being black, i dont think he sees himself that way unless its beneficial to him. I dont care if the guy was orange. I didnt vote for him but only because i didnt think he had enough experience. I wish he had been a great president for the sake of our country. He has not. We are broke and still he wants ti spend more. He is stealing our childrens future with his spending.

If you were to tax every millionaire in this country, at 100% of their income, it would fund government spending for only 3 months. Let that sink in for a moment. 3 months!!
Then what? Then where will they go for money? The middle class.

P. made money hand over fist with his connections with Haliburton while 1,000s of 10,000s of good American Troops lost their life.It was an unjust war that only help the rich.
