JOE when we went to school they would kick your assk till you were right. It worked for a lot of years and only to the idiots started making rules did it change to the trouble we have today. The best years of my life were the 7 years of high school. How about that little chink that eats all those hot dogs wow what a pig.
you should have gave it more time, I'm sure you could have passed 9th grade if you kept trying and than went on to a decade of trying to get past 10th grade.

25% of the 18 to 30 years have no jobs now, so why bother attempting to school the ones who aren't interested, mexicans that come here aren't educated and manage to get by if there is work available.
Dump the 1950's brain washing, there is never going to be a need for a 100% educated work force, somebody is going to collect the garbage, flip the burgers and do other unskilled jobs a 13 year old could do.
It's just a waste of money and distrupts the schools to keep future minimum wage workers in them. Lower the minimum wage to $5.00 an hour and give the chinese a run for the money, we can let the kids work who don't want to be in school.
Wow. WOW. And to think how angry people get when I post like this. You just blew right past me in that respect. Are you just revving up, or are you already redlining? Tell us how you really feel Joe.

I could not disagree more with you. You say it is “far worse now”, I doubt that. I remember after school fights as a common occurrence every day. If anything it is getting less aggressive due to media and lawsuits. Today kids verbally pick on each other and its “bullying”. 20 – 30 years ago you could get your nose broke and your teeth knocked out in a fight behind the school. If you did that today would get arrested and sued, even in grade school.

I just guessed

"Currently, even after a slight boost in jobs growth, unemployment for 18-24 year olds stands at 24.7%. "

My guess is probably as good as their guess.

The self absorbed ME generation didn't notice the crap other kids took as long as nobody was picking on them and their school experiance decades ago was warm & fuzzy, they live in a little self absorbed fantasy world of their own.

It just wasn't right flat Lander. All those teachers worshiping Jane Fonda and protesting the violence in Vietnam. I mean how could they organize peaceful demonstrations against those baby killers , only to return to class and kick their students asses for talking back to the boss man at the head of the class? They couldn’t make it go both ways.

What the Bellows Falls middle school needs is a principle and a assistant principle like they had in the 70s. Herby Werden and Milo Parker wouldn't take any crap from the students nor their parents. This school has gone to hell in a hand basket since the Marcie Henry days.
