What a shame to the underbelly of society. What a set back in showing the local talent. This has to be G. Bush fault.

I would like to add, Thank you Mr. Scialabba for being so generous these past 10 years providing us access to public TV, without having us pay for it. I do believe that those of us who would like to continue to receive it, should pay for it. Thanks again

C'mon Putney! Solidarity! We can't lose this station. There has to be an amicable solution, fundraising? This station keeps me abreast of community life. If I were more financially solid I'd be willing to pay the extra $2-$3 a month, but I'm not. I would be willing to help fundraise.

Pay and live in Putney. NO NO It's a free ride or nothing. The average income in the village is begging money but out in the burbs where Shumlin lives is the money. Every trip to town cost you dearly thats why it's more of a ghost town. Walking down the street reminds me of those Marathon runners at the end and all the side lines people touching hands as they go by. In the race they get a hand of sweat & in Putney you get some drool.

Uh-oh, now how is Lynn Corum going to spread her pro-VY propaganda? Well in a year and a half that'll be moot anyway.

Because these CPG's last for 11 years there is a very short period of time where the public and BCTV viewers can have an impact before that door closes for a more than a decade.

These contracts are typically based upon a percentage of total revenues of the cable operator. Fundraising can help to fund particular programs and projects, but SVC needs to do the right thing and pay a fair cost for the service that BCTV offers.

There could be considerably more programming fromt hose 5 towns, but they need to have BCTV designated as their Access Management Organization. 4 of the 5 towns have reicved BCTV all of these years with absolutely no compensation to BCTV.

Ernie has provided services in this valley for years and has worked extremely hard to keep costs under control, especially the costs to his customers. If he considers what BCTV is asking is unreasonable then I for one support him completely. If some of you people want Brattleboro News and events and want Political commentary from our supposed representatives, you have one of two choices move to Brattleboro or you pay for it, subscribe to it privately and pay for it . You pay for it, leave the rest of us out of it. There are people that pay for the services of SVCable who don't need or want to be force into increased rates for the garbage that is televised on that channel. If you want it pay for yourself

That's the main reason I voted against some republicans in this last election, cuz they're all so damn pro-VY. Now that that's going to close the righties can make themselves useful by spending more time opposing the AlGoreythms- spreading the truth about the anthropogenic 'global warming' carbon tax scam.

of course BCTV gives SO much unfair time to righties doesn't it 'Crispness'- like having those right wing programs such as 'Democracy Now' on twice a friggin day along with Thom Hartmann too. Get BCTV's schedules and count up ALL the hours on an average week given to those and other righty programs compared to the opposition's. It's a conspiracy I'm sure, don't you agree?
