Get over it, Betty. VY will be here long after you pass on.

OH Betty !!
Is the reason that you want VY shut down is because it is old? We as well as you want to prevent accidents. That is why we are highly trained and skilled in the jobs that we do. I encourage you to do more research about TMI-2. I hope you know that there is more than one plant... TMI-1 is secheduled to operate till 2034. Yes, TMI-2 was the worst commercial nuclear disaster in our history and yet, according to the US NRC and other groups, stated that no deaths have occured due to this accident. Of course 20 more years of operation will generate waste, that is part of the cycle. We have very protective relative short term storage solutions in the form of dry fule storage casks. I call into question your deffinition of safe.
If VY closes as scheduled that in no way "forces" the state to get green renewable energy.
