10. 2 Kings 2:23-24 NKJV

Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up the road, some youths came from the city and mocked him, and said to him,“Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!” So he turned around and looked at them, and pronounced a curse on them in the name of the LORD. And two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths.

9. Mark 14:51-52 NASB

A young man was following Him, wearing nothing but a linen sheet over his naked body; and they seized him. But he pulled free of the linen sheet and escaped naked.

8. Deuteronomy 23:1 ESV

No one whose testicles are crushed or whose male organ is cut off shall enter the assembly of the Lord.

7. Genesis 38:8-10 NASB

Then Judah said to Onan,“Go in to your brother’s wife, and perform your duty as a brother-in-law to her, and raise up offspring for your brother.” Onan knew that the offspring would not be his; so when he went in to his brother’s wife, he wasted his seed on the ground in order not to give offspring to his brother. But what he did was displeasing in the sight of the LORD; so He took his life also.

6. 1 Samuel 18:25-27 ESV

Then Saul said,“Thus shall you say to David,‘The king desires no bride-price except a hundred foreskins of the Philistines, that he may be avenged of the king’s enemies.’” Now Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines. And when his servants told David these words, it pleased David well to be the king’s son-in-law. Before the time had expired, David arose and went, along with his men, and killed two hundred of the Philistines. And David brought their foreskins, which were given in full number to the king, that he might become the king’s son-in-law. And Saul gave him his daughter Michal for a wife.

5. Exodus 4:24-25 NASB

Now it came about at the lodging place on the way that the LORD met him and sought to put him to death. Then Zipporah took a flint and cut off her son’s foreskin and threw it at Moses’ feet, and she said,“You are indeed a bridegroom of blood to me.”

. Ezekiel 16:17 NIV

You also took the fine jewelry I gave you, the jewelry made of my gold and silver, and you made for yourself male idols and engaged in prostitution with them.

3. Ezekiel 23:19-20 NET

Yet she increased her prostitution, remembering the days of her youth when she engaged in prostitution in the land of Egypt. She lusted after their genitals as large as those of donkeys, and their seminal emission was as strong as that of stallions.

2. Judges 3:19-25 ESV

And Ehud reached with his left hand, took the sword from his right thigh, and thrust it into his belly. And the hilt also went in after the blade, and the fat closed over the blade, for he did not pull the sword out of his belly; and the dung came out.

1. Deuteronomy 25:11-12 NASB

If two men, a man and his countryman, are struggling together, and the wife of one comes near to deliver her husband from the hand of the one who is striking him, and puts out her hand and seizes his genitals, then you shall cut off her hand; you shall not show pity.

you need to suggest which one is "the truth" for this to be a worthwhile comment...

the translations are by their very nature, after all, flawed.

None of this is said in the Bible. You are just trying to stir up and you will. Do you want to be held accountable for sending the wrong message to people. Keep on with this and you will be. CRAZY and you are fishing to stir up.

We are all held accountable for what we do, right or wrong. No where in the Bible does it talk about things in that ugly manner. Please do not write things like that to cause people to stray from God. if I were not a Christian and did not know about God and read that, that could really turn someone away from the Bible and God. Surely you do not believe this is funny. This kind of stuff is very serious. I will pray for you and I am not being judgemental just so concerned at what you are doing. Bless you and God be with you my friend.

Every one of the verses are in the Bible and I have used each of the verses in sermons over the years. I do think that Korn Dogg is trying to stir up a little strife, however, stirring up strife is some time the only way to cause people to check for themselves what the Bible says. As far as From TN saying "No where in the Bible does it talk about things in that ugly manner." Yes the Bible does speak in plain language. Many times translators use words that are more socially acceptable rather than the exact Hebrew, Aramaic, Latin or Greek word. Try reading God's Word with an open mind, meaning not some preconceived idea of what God said. It might do wonders for your soul.

Stop humiliating yourselves, yes these are in the Bible. Context, you morons, context!
2 Kings 2:23-24 happened just after Elijah was taken up in the burning chariot, and Elisha was being warned by them not to spread the message he'd received from God. So yeah, don't piss God off and don't threaten his prophets
Mark 14:51-52 This was just after Jesus was betrayed, and the young man was a disciple of Jesus and fled the guards that threatened to crucify all of His followers. as for the naked part, it wasn't rare for people of that time to own no undergarments since clothing was expensive. Regardless, he was fleeing for his life.
Deuteronomy 23:1 This was about Eunuchs and the mutilation that men would undergo for a variety of reasons that contradicted God's law. And assembly of the Lord is meant by the bearing a civil office among the people, such as magistrate, judge, etc. The reason of the law is very plain; no man with any such personal defect as might render him contemptible in the sight of others should bear rule among the people, lest the contempt felt for his personal defects might be transferred to his important office, and thus his authority be disregarded.
Genesis 38:8-10 This law about marrying a widow in the family is explained in Deut. 25. It's purpose was to ensure that a childless widow would have a son who would receive her late husband's inheritance and who, in turn would care for her. Onan was killed because he refused to fulfill his obligation to his dead brother.
1 Samuel 18:25-27 David had no dowry to give for the princess, so instead he did a galliant deed for the king. Saul sent David out on an impossible task, kill 200 Philistine soldiers. David did and as proof, he brought the foreskins that he took from his dead victims, which was not an unusual act during those times.
Exodus 4:24-25
Moses had lived half his life in Pharaoh's palace and probably didn't know all of God's laws. His wife, who was a Midianite may have opposed the law. Moses had to obey God's law in order to lead His people, so his wife did it and wasn't very happy with the whole idea.
Ezekiel 16:17 God was talking to Judah, the Nation. Not to a woman, He was talking about how his people failed to keep His laws and as a result, they ended up bowing to alters, sacrificing infants, and a bunch of truly heartbreaking acts. the concept of whoredom is mentioned many times in light of the concept that we are the bride of the Lord so anything we do that threatens the covenant relationship between God and His people is just like a wife cheating on her husband for personal gain. It's why His type of jealousy isn't like our petty "I want what she has" type of envy, but rather righteous indignation and bitterness towards an act that threatens that covenant relationship. The graphic nature of this particular text reveals the true pain God felt in regards to how far His people had fallen (again).
Ezekiel 23:19-20 This is the parable of Aholah who represents God's people again. The name means "my tabernacle is in her" i.e.: God rested his trust and home in these people, there's a word for it but I forget it. It's very sad and beautiful. Oh, and the horse was made by the Egyptians to be the hieroglyphic for a lustful person, so yeah.
Judges 3:19-25 Being left-handed back then was considered an exceptional ability. It opened opportunities for a wide range of fighting styles unique to that person and uncounterable by the average soldier. He delivered God's people out of the hands of Eglon (who just so happened to be very fat). This was an assassination, a pretty awesome one actually.
Deuteronomy 25:11-12 The passage is part of a body of what might be called "family law". The woman is severely dealt with because of the great importance of the perpetuation of the family: a man who cannot beget children, cannot marry his brother's widow so as to keep his brother's name alive; nor can he beget offspring to perpetuate his own family.

Sorry about posting double, I despise people who do that.
But seriously, "From TN" learn your Bible or shut up. Don't expose the rest of us to the humiliation of being classified as ignorant. It takes two seconds to open the Bible and check, "Yup...that's in there, they really talk about donkey wangs in my Bible..."

Here, what about the part where Lot's daughters date rape him? What about the part where God curses Ham for laughing at his drunk dad? What about the part with the TALKING DONKEY?! This book is insane, there is so many radical events that should definitely not be taken for granted, it's amazing. And I believe every word of it and I love how crazy that sounds. I'm not ignorant, I'm not mean, I don't care if you're gay or an alcoholic or if you do drugs, I love you just the same. I don't mind people who oppose my faith, I love talking about other religions and comparing notes. There is so much we can learn from each other, EVOLVE YOU LOWSY CHRISTIANS!!!!!

(And be grateful that the anti-chritian folk are so clever, it keeps us on our toes just like it should be)

Yes, the bible does use these terms, the KJV is just the least graphic version... If you want to get into translations that is. And on that, can I use ass from the pulpit, cause the KJV does say that... It also says damn... Sometimes a different translation is the only way to get a better perspective on what the bible is actually talking about... And it is a pastors duty to tell his saints what the bible says and do it in a manner that is understandable to his people... As far as casting the judgement that someone will rot in hell, maybe you should go back and reread the part of the bible that says that god is the only judge and that you have no right and no authority to place such a judgement on anyone, let alone a minister of god...

Clearly you haven't read much outside of what you have been told to believe. Have you ever visited the Greek and Hebrew? Much of the Bible is very graphic in nature, and there is certainly a time and place to present it as such.

There is never, however, a time and place to pull Scripture out of context for the sake of being inflammatory.

And as for rotting in hell due to using those words, I suppose you have specific passages or verses in mind to back up such lofty claims?

Interesting selection of verses... There are some "beauties" hidden in the Word of God. so much meaning and history is lost in any English translation, but there is richness and purpose in each verse - but only when we view it through the lens of the rest of the Bible. Good conversation starters to pull people into a discussion of the Bible.

I hope these verses draw many to look deeper at God's Word.

Ok, have you gotten your bible out and read it! He has done his homework. These verses are in the bible and many others that are never preached! What about the rape of Tamar? Or the way that kings would kill all of the family that was left from the just died king? The bible is not full of warm and gooy stories! It is the story of a people trying to live with their God in lands that were not always nice to them and the redemption of that people!

As a Christian, I still found this funny - you picked some beauties. And yes, they should all be preached on over time, but you're right, they rarely are. I'm saddened by some of the responses, though :( I was certainly aware of all these passages in the Bible, and appreciated the scatological humour.

You can add Nahum 3:6 to your list - "I will throw filth at you and treat you with contempt and make you a spectacle." (ESV)

snorkel1987 - thanks for the break down of context.
