ant to know why isnít anyone questioning the fact that this 17 year old has a 35 year old for a boyfriend. So, this not rape? Who is to say that this girl is telling the truth. And why is everyone attacking Darling? I think many of you people had it been you in the same situation you would have been by you spouse as well so, stop the hypocrisy .

If she was paid, no.
If the officer is latino, no.
If the officer was on duty, no.

My heart goes go to the young women who was assaulted by this pig. I think about her and I've prayed for her many times.
I have also prayed for Darlene, and her children.
I know this is a tough time for her, but I sincerely hope that she will divorce this loser.
You NEVER stay with anyone who sexually assaults a child!!!

Darlene,
Once trust and faith in your spouse is broken, it is extremely difficult to continue life under the same roof.
Seek help from a counselor. Forgiving is a special gift but it must come from the heart.
I am sure there must have been trouble in the marriage for this to have occured. But examine it closely,
if your husband can get self satisfaction for a few moments and during those moments forget his obligation to his family (wife and children) what type of character are you living with? Examine what is real and what is in your heart. If you can forgive and understand the person you are living with then proceed with what is right. But always remember, this can happen again. You have children, their father will always be their father and you can't run away from that. They are hurting, you are hurting, but this will pass. He will always be in your life and you must be strong for your children. They know right from wrong and what he did was wrong. They must forgive and go on as well. Get counseling for the entire family and pray. Everyone makes mistakes and have lapse of judgement, we are human. As long as in our hearts we know it was a mistake and it won't reoccur.

His wife is an idot and so is the fake officer. He should not have put himself in that position to rape an innocient girl (child). Look people, maybe the girl (child) has a credibility problem but just because you can take advantange of someone doesn't mean that you should. He should get raped. There a tons of good cops that know the law and abide by it. Why the hell can't this guy get it through his head. No matter how many people the girl slept with that gives' no one the right to rape her. She can be with 100 year old man if she wants. You don't do that and until we as a society realize that then we will be better and there should be Concequences for our actions.

Yeah, but NBC probably could not get rid of this trashy newsanchor because of "discrimination" as a Puerto Rican.

What a ridiculous statement. The only people with credibility problems are the dirt bag former police officer and his wife.
You should feel bad for the poor woman who was allegedly victimized this animal.
His loudmouth wife, for once, should have tried to avoid being in front of the cameras and not tried to use her "success" to intimidate the victim and investigators.
WNBC should think about who they have representing them.

You really need to check yourself before talking about " lowered standards". You can't spell to save your life. The fact of the matter is, cops are people. No matter what color, race, religion or creed. Because they are people, they make stupid decisions and many times criminal decisions. Rodriguez is a scumbag because he chose to be. Not for any other reason. If you bothered to do the research you would know that those hired through affirmative action have the lowest percentage of reprimands. You should also know that there is a standard police test and academy that all officers have to complete in order to be on the force. This means they all receive the same training. The choices they make once they are on the job are all theirs. Has nothing to do with race.

It's people like you that voted for Romney that can't stand having a person of color in the white house. It makes you feel less important. But the fact is.... The educated people of this country have come to realize that people are just people. Every race has good and bad. Ignorant people like yourself need to focus on race because you can't stand to see people of color in positions of authority. Make no mistake, YOU are the minority. And your ignorance is laughable.
