It saddens me beyond words every single time I read about a fallen American soldier. God bless Stephan and his entire family. Although it is hard to fathom the Mace's loss, their son died a hero in the eyes of so many, including me. May he rest in peace, and may all that knew him take solace in knowing what a brave and generous soul he was. Brave for obvious reasons. Generous, because he gave up his life for what he believed in - our freedom. I am sad but proud of this Loudoun County son.
