There are millions more stories like this one that are non-Jewish, but were never told because Poles tend to be like some of the guys you know - the strong, silent type, who'll tell you something profound, but only once, if you care enough to listen. Then, they move on with their lives not poisoning the atmosphere with constant guilt-prompting kvetching about how much they suffered. Too bad. Maybe, by now, we Poles would have a sack full of money from the stories and the respect we deserve.
