There is also a building which was a public school on what is now the property of private owners. It is the one-room schoolhouse between the former Salem Methodist Church (now a private home) and Salem Cemetery about 1/2 mile on the left on Rt. 671 (Harper's Ferry Rd) after one turns onto Rt. 671 off Rt. 9 going toward Harper's Ferry.
