What is the best restaurant in Punxsy?

my choice, hands down, is Punxy Phils.........It is most like the old Ruth and Harrys......when you go in there, everyone, including the kitchen staff, treat you like family. I love going for breakfast in the morning just to see the same old faces to chat with and to tease the waitresses.

I would say Lilys. They have all homemade food and homemade bakery. Best soup and pies in town.

Neko's always has good meals. The food is always fresh and tasty. The lasagne is to die for.

Sadly the best one in the Punxsy area is no longer open because of serious illness to the owner. C & S aka Chango's And the other great ones are long gone...... Hester's and Ruth & Harry's Now if you want a good meal at a decent price one must drive to Indiana, Dubois, or Brookville.

Lily's does have a super breakfast. I always get two eggs toast and fruit. As far as I know Lily's is the only place in town to get fruit with your breakfast.

What about fine dining with a full bar for a special occasion? Isn’t there a highly accredited culinary school in downtown? Why hasn’t one of the teachers/students started an upscale restaurant?

punxsy bound wrote: <quoted text> Then why have a culinary school? It is just an extension of IUP. It doesn't mean that most people in Punxsy are aching for gourmet food. Although it would be nice. Most places here have the same menu as the next place. Quality is what varies.
