No businesses moved or went out of business for one particular reason. Usually it's multiple reasons, and taxes being one of them. Who knows which issue broke the camels back?<quoted text>Taxes on business have never caused one to fail. Taxes on a business is based on profit. Business makes money they pay taxes. No profit then no taxes. You Repub always list the problem coming from the poor. How about the fact that most millionaires and billionaires now pay a tax rate of 15%. How about the fact that America spends more than the next 10 nations on defense combined. How about the fact that the rich CEOs have closed 22,000 factories in the US over the past 20 years leaving 5.5 million without a job. And I did mean the RICH CEOs did it. I have never heard of a worker on a factory floor tell his fellow workers we need to close and ship this to China.
If a business is making no profit, they still pay property taxes, they still have to pay into unemployment insurance, they still have to have workman's compensation insurance, they still have to match their employees social security and medicare contributions.
