We definitely have some laws under the guise of protecting people from themselves.
I hear what you are saying, but the bottom line is our system has created the country we live in. If we change the system, there will be consequences that will affect part of the population. If we legalize drugs, a part of the population will become addicted, and steal, rob and prostitute themselves to acquire their drugs. Ultimately, from negative health effects of the drugs, the prostitution, or robbing the wrong person or house, the drug addicted are going to be eliminated. In the grand scheme of things, not a bad thing. But as you point out, those addicts are going to be someone's loved ones or family.
It's like doing away with government handout programs. There would be consequences. Those consequences are going to be devastating to some. But ultimately we would eventually be able to reduce taxes and have people working rather than sponging.
There would be consequences initially from congress halting the overspending they are so fond of. Eventually it would yield positive results.
Actually if drugs were legalized and off the black market then prices would come way down, no need to steal.

True.
Paying for health insurance for a second crew when the demand is temporary affects the bottom line however.

Bill Gates helped start a very successful company. Microsoft pays their employees very well. Average annual wage at Microsoft is more than $87,000. They employ more than 90,000 people.
Care to compare that to WalMart?

The price would come down. You are correct in that respect. Addicts can't control the constant need for more drugs to give the desired high. That usually leads to loss of work and ultimately the need to steal to support the habit.

People steal who dont do drugs or drink alcohol. We have laws for that. Guns can be used to rob someone. But we should not ban guns...So why ban drugs?

Will you agree that the war on drugs is a failure and absolute waste of money?

Massive Growth of Social Inequality is rampant across America! Since 1989 inequality has risen not just in plutocratic hubs such as Wall Street and Silicon Valley, but also in virtually every corner of the world’s richest nation while the middle class is slowly disappearing into a world of a day to day struggle to pay bills and feed families.

But if they just run four hour shifts they can call them part time

More four hours jobs will be popping up and 8 hour shifts disappearing

This will keep people poor

Well many times we can't wait until they come to our shores to fight. Sometimes you have to fight them in other countries. If we wait for them to come to us, we end up with results like 911.

You can't stop illegal narcotics no more than you can stop murder, rape, or theft. All you can do is try to control it somehow.

If our troops were here instead of all over the world we would not be attacked. Like in Roman time there military was all over but at home and was costing them 75% of all there money. Like today our military is massive and bloated and out of control.

I still don't see your AF part son. After all, that's the part in question.

Simply quoting the Constitution isn't making your point. It's simply showing you don't understand it.

Nor does it show the AF as a branch of services.
