I just dont see how any conservative could be for any kind of prohibition... It goes againt the Constitution big time....As a Libertarian ANY prohibtion is illegal and affront to the Constitution..
No. I want the perfect world too.

My point is, we are never going to get it, short of a revolution. If that happens, it must be finished to completion. otherwise, the day after we fully restore the system to completely follow the constitution, the liberals will start the destructive process all over again.

Until then, we have to do the best we can with what we have got.

You bring up a great point about the UN Treaty.
Considering that George Washington grew Cannabis, it is quite likely that banning Cannabis is no more constitutional than prohibition was.
Since it has been stated that Treaties can not supersede the constitution, will the SCOTUS rule honestly on the subject?
Hemp is not marijuana it contains little or no THC, industrial Hemp has always been a cash crop and is, in fact, on its way back.

Lol. Because if people don't have a desire for the ammo, indirectly, the government could force the manufacturers out of business. The first rule of business is stay in business.
Keeping the demand higher than the supply insures people have a desire for their product.

Ok your not getting this....Right now there is a nation wide ammo shortage..BIGTIME....Yet companies are not making anymore now ten before........WHY??????? I mean I get supply and demand. I own a small business and if I run low on products I get more if they fly off shelf I get many more. If ammo is in high demend why dont companies make more??????????

Take your blinder off and open your tiny little mind there is whole world out there you’re refusing to see, like the good little wingnut that you are. Present-day conservatives and other assorted right-wingnuz fanatics insist that we (and especially judges) revere the Founding Fathers, sublimating our twenty-first century experience to their own. I have nothing against the Founding Fathers. They weren't so bad, but certainly not so good. They certainly were NOT representative of the population of the country, then or now. If they represented anyone, it was less than 2% of the population. The Founding Fathers were definitely in the one percent. George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton or James Madison, Robert Morris was the “Financier of the American Revolution.” Nearly all were well educated for their time, they all had prosperous enterprises while attending to the people’s business. Many of the Founding Fathers lobbied against the Bill of Rights. Most of the Founding Fathers disapproved of giving ordinary citizens the right to own land or such liberties as freedom of religion, freedom from unreasonable search and torture, the right of free speech and so forth. In fact, when John Adams was president (1797-1801), he took away freedom of speech. The Bill of Rights is, in reality, the people's voice against the Founding Fathers - liberty against conformity. The authors of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights were progressives fighting the conservatives who lobbied against it, in fact, the wingnuz of old lobbied hard to have George Washington installed as the “King of the New World.”

I've been doing some reading on that and from what I've found, the ammo companies are making it as fast as they can. All ammo companies are working three shifts and are being pressured by government to shift sales more their way. Even police departments are short on ammo and I would think they have priorities over the general walk through the door customer.

I think your second cousin isn't telling you the full story or doesn't know himself. Nothing on the internet about holding back supplies or workers not working fast enough. I don't know what it costs for machines to make ammunition, but obviously, companies are not expanding right now. One report I read stated ammunition manufacturers are not even taking orders into 2014.

Not sure why he would lie...Maybe he is. I still doubt they are making it as fast as could....If your right maybe I should start ammo making company...Help increase supply.

There is no ban on gay marriage. Any two people regardless of sex can get married in any of our 50 states. The people don't have to respect that marriage, but if marriage is their real goal, then they can find a religion to marry them.

Republicans are not for banning abortion. They couldn't if they wanted to. What Republicans are for is Constitutional definition of abortion. Abortion is not mentioned in our Constitution, but somehow the SC ruled that it's protected which it's not.

Marriage and abortion are never mentioned in the US Constitution.

If manufacturers meet the demand, the demand ceases. If the demand ceases, people find better things to do than lobby congressmen. If people don't lobby congressmen, Democrats get their way. If Democrats get their way, manufacturers go out of business.

On the other hand, if manufacturers maintain regular production and demand stays high, people lobby congress. Democrats fear losing re-election if they vote for further gun control measures. Manufacturers stay in business.
