We don't "repeat" what we've heard or read on Fox. What we do is research stories that have been telling us about the massive expanding cradle to grave welfare roles throughout his administration. Need links? I can' provide them and no, they won't be from a Fox or Limbaugh's site.

Only a buffoon would be ignorant to the expansion of our federal government and safety nets. Only a buffoon would ignore our massive debt and trillion dollar deficits over the last four years. Only a buffoon would think that our problems today are still Bush's fault. Those are your Obama voters.

Over half of our country now relies on a federal government check be it to partly or totally support their lifestyles. This is no accident and certainly not the creation of Fox news. This is all DumBama. His failure to produce jobs, his failure to curb government spending, his failure to get our people out of record poverty, his failure to succeed at anything he's tried.

Oh, well. Beats thinking, I guess. But what a dull world you must live in. The conservative reality is like a comic book. Nothing but super-heroes and arch villans.
No, that statement is proof of how simple the answer was to the question.

A felon having a firearm has been illegal for many years now. Nobody on the right is protesting that. Republicans want to focus on the mental issues of people rather than the firearm itself by prohibiting all people from owning certain weapons or ammo. It's Democrats who are ignoring the mental health issue and focusing on guns alone.

It gives me a great deal of pleasure to remind you of what a sucker you are. How long do you intend to let those charlatans play you for a chump, but he way?
Perhaps you should wait yet another four years to see what your country is like before calling others chumps.

Well, at least we are reading from the same report. I think you may be splitting hairs though. Here is the point I was making. You right wingers always claim to be against too much "government power".
The whole "second amendment" business is all about freedom from government oppression, I thought. In other words, you guys claim to be ready to shoot it out with the "government" if they try to assert too much authority over you, right?
But here, with the Gates situation, you apparently feel that it's ok for the government to arrest a citizen, just for "talking back". So which is it? Even going along with your point, that Gates was yelling and shouting insults at the officer, I have to say "So what?" After all, Gates was in his own home. I thought you second amendement types were all about "a man's home is his castle" type thinking.
So you see my confusion. On the one hand, you puff up your chests and make threatening noises about how the government better not tread on your rights. But then, in Gates case, you make the opposite argument, i.e. even if you are in your own home, don't talk back to the government. Again, which is it?
Might I suggest that you purchase a police scanner? I have one and listen to it frequently. Not only is it entertaining, but you learn much about police procedure and how they are trained.

How to avoid getting arrested:

You see a police officer behind you with his lights spinning, you pull over.

When the officer tells you why he's pulling you over, don't argue with him.

When the officer asks for your drivers license, you give him your drivers license.

When the officer asks you to sign the ticket, you just sign the ticket.

When the officer hands you the copy of the ticket and tells you to have a nice day, then you have a nice day damn it.

Bottom line: do everything the officer asks of you, and you won't have a problem with the officer. It's just one of those nasty facts liberals (particularly black liberals) can't seem to grasp.

Those people paid into the programs. Not the same thing when you talk about Aunt Selma and her 10 kids that she could never afford. Nor the food stamp program which Aunt Selma is on. Nor the massive Medicaid program that most participants never contributed to. HUD houses in suburban homes? Forget about it.

People who paid into these programs their entire lives are deserving of it's benefits. People who pay nothing are entitled to nothing. That's the way we on the right feel.

Exactly my point. Smoking in schools has been against the rules for decades. Yet, kids find ways to cop a cigarette until this day. In fact, during the Columbine shooting, the armed guards were outside searching for kids smoking cigarettes which is why they weren't in the building when the shootings took place.

Oh how I love quoting myself. Just found this article in our local news. It's about a woman who obviously has serious mental issues, yet we can do nothing about it:

Cleaning fairy arrested while shoveling driveways without permission

ELYRIA, OH (WOIO)-
Susan Warren also known as "The Cleaning Fairy" was back in police custody today but this time it wasn't for breaking into homes to clean them; this time she was shoveling driveways without permission.

Elyria Police went to a home on Brandtson Avenue today for a report of a "suspicious female" shoveling a driveway without the homeowner's consent.

During questioning, the officer discovered that 53-year-old Susan Warren had a warrant through Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office for probation violation.

Although Warren was arrested on the warrant, no charges were brought up for shoveling the snow.

In November of 2012, Warren was sentenced to one year of probation for breaking into a Westlake home, cleaning it and leaving a $75 bill for the homeowner on a napkin.

She said that it wasn't uncommon for her to go into homes and clean them and that she never had a problem before that.

http://www.19actionnews.com/story/20650924/cl...

Here we clearly have a mentally deranged person in need of mental care. Yet, unless she breaks a law of some sort, it's nearly impossible to have her committed. She is free to be among our children, in our neighborhood, in our schools, and yes, able to obtain a firearm.

Liberal solution: take away high capacity magazines and make assault weapons illegal so this woman can't get her hands on one.

But please, no more posing as some sort of anti-government patriot, standing up for "freedom" against "oppressive government". You and I both know better.

Guess you even failed at that since you couldn't comprehend the case.

It is already against the law for the mentally ill or felons to buy a gun. So you want MORE laws to make it MORE illegal which will only be followed by the law-abiding??? Yeah.....that makes sense.

Passing more laws to try to stop criminals is akin to passing laws that make it harder for sober people to buy a car to prevent drunk driving.
