It's not like a major crime wave is taking place.

In fact violent crime is down.

So why are these spikes in gun and amunition following the 2008 and 2012 elections?

Of Obama, the "communist".

Just after the right wing media announces the great 2nd amendment reduction or elimination?

They can't violate the constitution and that what Bush let happen.

Federal troops are generally prohibited from directly enforcing state laws (e.g., controlling looting or riots) by the Posse Comitatus Act, with some exceptions. The President can assume command of state troops under the Stafford Act, but in this "federalized", or "Title 10" status, the federalized National Guard troops become unable to enforce laws directly, just like other federal troops.

They still confiscated weapons.

I will ask again. Cite the evidence where Bush ordered the New Orleans police superintendent to confiscate weapons.
Come on. It can't be that difficult.
Since when is the National Guard during a state emergency at the POTUS command? During a natural disaster they take orders from the Governor, not the POTUS. Nice try to blame where not due, but alas, this is typical of the left, blame someone else.
CLUE: Ray Nagin former N.O. Mayor is a DEMOCRAT, Kathleen Blanco former LA Governor is a DEMOCRAT. THEY gave the orders to the police and National Guard, not Bush. Bush had no authority. OH F***ING SNAP BIATCH!!!!!
You really should bone up on American political hierarchy. I am German first, American second, and I know it better than you do.

Good god what a stupid teabagger.

The mayor and the police superintendent ordered the guns be confiscated, not the governor,DUMBSHIT

The National Guard can't violate federal, state or local laws.

The National Guard of Louisiana is under the direction of the governor, the ones from out of state are still under federal control.

So why did they confiscate the guns?

Bush didn't ORDER them but did nothing to stop them?

You should really research past the teabagger opinion sites and get some facts, then again you couldn't comprehend them anyway so you repeat teabagger talking point crap.

You don't know shit.

You really just don't understand how the US government works do you?

Commander-In-Chief of the National Guard is the Governor of the State. OH F**ING SNAP!!! AGAIN!!!

Command of National Guard forces was NEVER relinquished to DOD command. OH F**KING SNAP!!! AGAIN!!!

So IF any weapons were ordered confiscated it was by a DEMOCRAT

Do you understand yet? Do I need to type more slowly?

That's the subject, SKIPPY.

Every teabagger is implying it, why all the spike in gun and amunition sales right after he was elected and re elected?

Handguns and assault rifle sales are up,” said Anne Schooley, an owner of Army-Navy Guns in Port Charlotte.“There are more concerns politically with stricter and tighter laws.”

“Sales have increased,” Schooley said.“The mood is that more people are taking it more seriously now that Obama’s been re-elected.”

Carl Joseph, manager of Sportrap Gun Shop in Port Charlotte, said sales have been up 35 to 40 percent in the store since Election Day.

“(The sentiment among customers is) Obama (is) trying to get guns banned with the United Nations with treaties (to limit firearm production worldwide),” Joseph said.“Rather than the U.S. taking your guns away, now it’s going to be the U.N. is going to take your guns away.”

YOU stated in a previous post that Bush ordered the confiscation of weapons. So now you admit it was a DEMOCRAT, not a REPUBLICAN.

The Nat Guard from other states were under orders by their respective Governor, not the POTUS, not the DoD. The Governor's did not relinquish command to DoD during Katrina. That was one of the failures during the disaster, a lack of unified command. You should read up on the reports and findings some time before making bold unsubstantiated claims on a subject you know zip about.

WHO CONFISCATED GUNS?!!!! IF guns were confiscated it was ordered by Governor Blanco, a DEMOCRAT. Good God man how f**king hard is it for you to comprehend this simple fact?!!? It is NOT Bush as you so want to claim.

No, it's MUCH more profitable to drop $1 million "smart" bombs on them or us.

It's not against the rules to use a nuke, we only have agreements with countries that HAVE them.

Of the 33 nations the US has bombed and/or invaded since WWII none have ever had nuclear weapons. That's why Iran wants and needs one now. It's the only protection a nation has from US invasion.

That just makes you blind.

Black President elected = the next day gun and ammunition sales skyrocket
Black President re-elected = the next day gun and ammunition sales skyrocket.

Are you really in so much denial that you can't make simple connections?

I'm not sure what your reference to legal and illegal gun sales relates to. No one is talking about that.

Substitute Democrat for Black and then you have something. There is no need for the race card being played. It's getting old.

In that case the wife is the fool.
As I pointed out before, the wife knew or should have known how he was when she married him.
With more than half of marriages ending in divorce, she is not trapped in the marriage.

Title 10 was not instituted during Katrina. The orders to National Guard units came from their respective Governor. The orders to US Army troops came from the DoD. This is why the initial recovery efforts were such a disaster and chaos ensued. There was no central command or coordination. It has been documented many times. Yet that imbecile still wants to cling to some belief it is Bush's fault.

WRONG!!! Democrats touted Clinton as the first black president. LOL
Democrats also said he was being vilified for Whitewater because of his "blackness". Besides Obama is Mulatto.
