Sounds like you're drinking the NRA tea:

In the eyes of National Rifle Association (NRA) executive vice president Wayne LaPierre, President Barack Obama’s decision not to pursue gun control legislation is a “massive conspiracy,” and just another reason not to give him a second term.

“[The Obama campaign] will say gun owners — they’ll say they left them alone,” LaPierre told an audience at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) Friday.“In public, he’ll remind us that he’s put off calls from his party to renew the Clinton [assault weapons] ban, he hasn’t pushed for new gun control laws… The president will offer the Second Amendment lip service and hit the campaign trail saying he’s actually been good for the Second Amendment.”

“But it’s a big fat stinking lie!” the NRA leader exclaimed.“It’s all part of a massive Obama conspiracy to deceive voters and destroy the Second Amendment in our country.”

“Obama himself is no fool. So when he got elected, they concocted a scheme to stay away from the gun issue, lull gun owners to sleep and play us for fools in 2012. Well, gun owners are not fools and we are not fooled,” La Pierre declared.

But this world, this paranoid future, of yours is only in the movies. You are worried about some Mad Max Thunderdome world that will never be.(Although I sure would love to have that Ford Falcon XB Interceptor, that was one bada$$ set of wheels)

You still have made no case as to how you are affected by how much ammo a person has. What do you care? Is it your money being spent to have more ammo than a company of Marines? Why are you complaining about how much ammo a person posses?

Just think it is nuts and some spend so much on it that there family suffers. Think you have all got me wrong. I own 10 guns and have few boxes of ammo for each. I just think some go nuts.

Yes it is. It is not the cushy life so many have grown accustomed to. People have lived that way for thousands of years. Being armed means you will have to fight less and prevail if you should need to fight. There is such a thing as deterrence. That is the reason the US has never had to use a nuke since WWII.

How exactly does that support your illogical conclusion on Prep-for-Dep? You claimed he would love if society collapsed.

How exactly is some idiotic television show evidence of anything? This is at least the second reference you’ve made to a television show in an attempt to support your position. Maybe you watch too much television.

Being prepared, and being a "prepper", are distinctly different.

I have a first aid kit in both motorcycles, and in the boot of each car. Am I "prepper" or prepared?

I have a a box of tea candles and dripless candles for when we lose power during hurricanes. Also plenty of "A", "C", and "D" batteries for my flashlights and radio, and lighters and matches. Am I "prepper" or prepared?

I have (2).45 ACP,(2) shotguns,(1) 9mm,(1).22, tac-lites, suppressors, hi-cap magazines, a few hundred rounds of ammo for each weapon. Am I a "prepper" or prepared?

I keep extra chicken stock in the pantry for when I am fixing curry. Am I a "prepper" or prepared?

Just because some people have (what you consider) too much ammo, does not mean they are preppers. It means they are prepared.

Preppers prepare for what they believe to be the inevitable, and very real, collapse of society.

Being prepared does not imply one is expecting the collapse of society.

Who are you to say how many guns a family of four should have? How does the number of firearms become and indicator of someone wanting to start an army or steal?

I have approximately 100 firearms. I have no need to start an army, we already have the finest military in the world. I have desire nor need to steal anything.

Maybe you’re the nutter.

No, a hilarious thing.

The nutjobs are buying into what the NRA and teabagger media is selling.

I've had 3 pistols,2 shotguns and 2 rifles since 1985 except when I had to buy one pistol for the wife.

No more since then and don't intend on purchasing 5000 rounds for each either.

They said the same thing in 2004 and nothing happened.

They said the same thing earlier this year.

In the eyes of National Rifle Association (NRA) executive vice president Wayne LaPierre, President Barack Obama’s decision not to pursue gun control legislation is a “massive conspiracy,” and just another reason not to give him a second term.
