And now, there’s apparently a brand-new counter-petition asking U.K. Home Secretary Theresa May to prevent Morgan from ever moving back to Britain.

“We got rid of him once and why should we have to suffer again. The Americans wanted him so they should put up with him. We washed our hands of him a long time ago,” the petition reads.

Before Morgan’s coming to CNN, BBC News reported the journalist was fired from his editorial job at the Daily Mirror for publishing fraudulent photographs in May 2004.

He has also been implicated in a media phone-hacking scandal in Britain.

Which law did Piers violate? See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =0SlfRCkZt1AXX
Piers is an idiot, he lost the debate and behaved as an ass through the debate. He became rude every time he was presented with facts.
Cat Stevens is banned from the US for allegedly donating money to Islam which may have been used to help Omar-Abdel-Rahman.
"allegedly" and "which may".

Hardly hard edvidence of any wrong doing.

OBAMA AND HIS PLANS FOR TYRANNY
Obama has practically declared war on gun owners, our 2nd amendment and is already targeting and confronting the NRA. No doubt, he will also be in the face of Gun Owners of America and the 2nd Amendment foundation. He must manipulate and seduce them and their members or destroy them.
People, Representatives, Senators, Governors, Tea Party patriots, military -- wake up NOW! We all know that guns don’t kill people, people do. Just like Hitler did, using and creating crisis to first control the German people and collect their guns door to door, Obama is following suit. Obama will need more crisis and calamity to force people to submit to his gun assaults, so get ready.

It's exactly this kind of position which makes you gun lovers look ignorant and violent enough to warrant taking away all your guns. Sure, prepare for war with our government, and good luck!

Why don't you join the UN troops or the government agency that's going to knock on my door and tell me I have to give up my semi automatics and high capacity magazines? In fact, why don't you be the one that comes to my door to tell me that?
Once again proof is in the pudding... You are way to violent to be allowed to own any firearms. Fortunately most Americans will obey new gun laws, turning in banned guns during a buy back program. Then it will be up to law enforcement and the military to pry them from your hands before you do something stupid with them.

What I've never understood from the gun nut crowd is their fear of a Government that can be put out of office every 4 years by an election. Hard to take over the US in 4 years. The "Government" they fear were just citizens before elected and can be put out to the same status at anytime. One President , 9 Supreme Court Justices , 100 Senators and 435 House members would ALL need to be in on this take over plot.

Is that so? Who made you judge, jury and executioner?
Law abiding is what has turned people into victims thus far with gun control legislation. People know that any law that allows the government to take your firearms is unconstitutional. The law abiding are fed up with having their rights violated. Some may give up their weapons if it came to that. I will not. I suspect the vast majority feel as I do.

That's the biggest pile of crap! If we have no guns, the next step is a dictatorship. Without guns, who can stop it from happening?

No it was not , you just choose to see it that way.

Both are the same thing , Stevens was against the war , the English big mouth is against the Constitution except when he profits from it.

<quoted text>Limbaugh is an American citizen he Is here as a guest and is subject to deportation under the sedition act.
****
Sedition Act of 1918 Concern over disloyalty during wartime provided the backdrop for the second Sedition Act in U.S. history. In April 1917, the United States entered World War I when Congress declared war against Germany and its allies. A month later, the Selective Service Act reinstated the military draft. Both the draft and U.S. entry into the war were met with protest at home. Worried that anti-war protestors might interfere with the prosecution of the war, Congress passed the Sedition Act of 1918.
The Sedition Act of 1918 (Pub.L. 65-150, 40 Stat. 553, enacted May 16, 1918) was an Act of the United States Congress that extended the Espionage Act of 1917 to cover a broader range of offenses, notably speech and the expression of opinion that cast the government or the war effort in a negative light or interfered with the sale of government bonds. "[1]

It forbade the use of "disloyal, profane, scurrilous, or abusive language" about the United States government, its flag, or its armed forces or that caused others to view the American government or its institutions with contempt. Those convicted under the act generally received sentences of imprisonment for 5 to 20 years.[2] The act also allowed the Postmaster General to refuse to deliver mail that met those same standards for punishable speech or opinion. It applied only to times "when the United States is in war."[3] It was repealed on December 13, 1920.[4]

I know what you are saying. I haven't signed the petition for that reason. The only thing that I question is, does the first amendment apply to a non citizen working in the US? Should it apply on principle?
I think so. We either extend our Constitutional rights to foreigners or we don't. We can't pick and choose which Constitutional rights they can't have.

I believe in the spirit of the Constitution which guarantees us freedom. My point here is that even if it were unlawful for visitors to criticize our country or our Constitution, we should still honor those who exercise the rights of free speech contained in the document. This petition does the exact opposite and that's why I'm against it.
