What the hell is going on Tee Jackson? Have you finally sent us so many GCHS rejects that you have destroyed our school once and for all? You gave us Ricky Taylor and football has never been able to recover. We finally get a good coach and you cave to pressure from parents because he is actually making the boys work hard, so now he's been dismissed. You sent us a science teacher this year that GCHS didn't want. Our principals are jumping ship. Special ed teachers are jumping ship. All of this is a direct result of your mismanagement and neglect of your duty to serve Richland with the same level of care that you serve GCHS. I don't care that your family has ties to GCHS, you are in the position of Director of Schools to serve ALL of our children. The parents of Richland School WILL NOT accept another GCHS reject being placed in our school. We DO NOT want GCHS rejects being appointed as our principal or assistant principal and we DO NOT want their rejects filling our teaching positions!!! START TREATING US AND OUR CHILDREN WITH THE EQUAL RESPECT WE DESERVE. Otherwise, pack your bags and go back to Alabama. We are SICK OF THIS GARBAGE. Our school is broken because of YOU. Now fix it.

I agree with you! The Elementary school is just as bad! There are people pulling there kids out left and right! The problem there is a principal on a major power trip!! I wish they would send her to GCHS for good!!!

I too have been very disappointed with the Elementary school. Couple years back I was ready for a change (or at least I thought) but this change went for the worse. More and more kids leaving and people just don't seem near as happy around there as they once were. No one that can do anything about it seems to care.

We people of the north end do not matter to Tee Jackson. Nevermind that we pay just as much, if not more, property taxes than the city folks pay. I don't expect us to be treated any better than the Pulaski residents, but I do expect to be treated fairly. Everything we get from them is a GCHS reject. We get their unwanted teachers, their unwanted coaches, even their unwanted bleachers! The way Tee Jackson and the board of education treat the north end children is an injustice. I'm tired of people keeping their mouths shut about this. It is time to let them know that we see it and are sick of it. I can't comment much on the elementary school because my kid is across the street, but I can't imagine you guys are being treated fairly either. They don't care about us and they don't even try to hide it. They are letting our schools go to hell while they get state of the art CDC rooms and sports facilities. I'll repeat what I said earlier, WE WILL NOT ACCEPT YOUR REJECTS ANYMORE!!! DO NOT SEND US GCHS REJECTS TO TEACH OR LEAD OUR SCHOOLS. Either find us a leader from within the Richland community or find someone from outside the county that shows great potential. We don't plan to be your dumping ground for ineffective educators anymore!

So if anyone has ever taught at GCHS, then that automatically disqualifies them from teaching in the north end of the county?

That is what it seems like you are saying.

At the present time, yes that is what I'm saying. The problem is that Tee goes out of his way to send us the rejects from GCHS. It's not like we are getting their best and brightest educators defecting to Richland. In recent years, we have become a dumping ground for their unwanted teachers and coaches. It has gone on so long that we would rather not see anyone from GCHS come here because we know what it means, "Oh great, another tenured ineffective teacher/coach that Tee needed to dump somewhere." For now, we have had enough and don't even want think about anymore GCHS transplants to our school. Even now, the story is that Tee has wasted the time of many applicants for principal at Richland, that he has already made up his mind to move someone from GCHS to Richland as principal. I'm telling you, WE DON'T WANT HIM HERE. We don't want any more of them here for now. Give us one of our own that has proven himself/herself to be effective and capable of leading our school. We simply don't trust anyone from GCHS anymore because our school falls further down the toilet with each one of them that comes in the door.

Sounds like there is more problems than just the GCHS folks. Sounds also like an attitude problem which I am sure carries over to the students. Hint

That's easy to say when your kids are getting to send bad teachers and coaches to the north end. I have nothing against your school. I have a problem with your school being cared for at the expense of ours, though.

I agree, it is the ones that you all are "glad to get rid of" that are being sent to us! I am telling you, people are leaving our school because of some of the teachers and our principal!! Really, how many complaints do they have to have to do something!? I know there are several on our principal and there is also a few teachers that have a few verbal and written on them as well! Just because someone's father was a good principal does not make them a good one!! We are all holding our breath about who will be hired for that position, in time all of our kids will be there. As far as bad attitudes are concerned, our kids learn from these "teachers" and administrators" ( as our principal refers to herself) that are loaded with bad attitudes and conniving ways! Don't you think they learn more than ABC's from them!? We as parents have a right to be concerned about who is teaching our children!!!!!!

My thoughts too after reading. Perhaps it is time for one big high school here where everyone will be treated equally - problem solved.

So you think the answer is to rob our community of its school? "To Hell with Richland," that is the typical response from the Pulaski folks. We love our community and love our school. We are simply asking Tee Jackson to stop treating us like second class citizens. I don't think merging the schools is necessary, just stop screwing us in areas of personnel and facilities. Fairness isn't too much to ask for, is it? It sounds like some of the GCHS folks would be happy to see our community lose its school and watch our kids be subjected to hours-long bus rides. Having two high schools can work very well if both are treated equally. What I'm hearing from you is that Richland will never be an equal, so it would be better to shut it down.
