We need to close the loop hole that Marty's scum attorneys found for him . There is a reason for term limits . It is reprehensible that this bozo went out of his way to nullify the rules in his favor .

Heck, this guy would gladly be Mayor of
ABQ for 60 years if the voters continue to display poor judgment. Hopefully, that will all be changed in the next election.

Martin Chavez and Hugo Chavez have a lot in common. The only difference here he won't be reelected because Albuquerque citizens have had enough of him! Most people are sick of him already, we need a new face, new ideas!

Tuesday or yesterday was the 90th day prior to the election.

I think I read a Mayor in office could do all the Public Service Announcements he wished up to 90 days prior to the election, but after that they are considered campaigning on City time. So I am a little surprised he did not announce today, but I guess he wants a weekend gig.

Everybody, get out the vote! And vote for anyone but Marty.

It will take a change in the State Constitution for us to reinstate the term limits in the City Charter. Or so I heard. That needs to be done first thing in January.

You mean all this time he was not running but only thinking about it?

What a joke, hopefully he runs away from ABQ.

And the law says he cannot run again regardless of what the city attorney says.

So he is officially going to run so that means people we need to send a strong message, do not donate to his political fund raiser and do not vote for him.

Let him lose by the largest margin ever and he might lower his head and sneak away.

No, it was the Court of appeals I think that said our City Charter was Unconstitutional---NM State Constitution, that is. Gotta change it at the next legislative session.

We need bumper stickers for the front of cars that read "Run Marty, Run"

R.J. Berry has my vote. Richard Romero is also a good candidate and a far site better then the troll for life. Either way it's a win win situation for ABQ if Marty loses.

Both D-I-C-K-S are not a viable choice in the ABQ mayor's race. Romero and Berry are both Chicken Littles and the city cannot afford their lack of vision and understanding for our future. They do not come close to bringing what has already happened in the leap and bounds City Hall has experienced in the last four years!

Last election, 53% of us voted against him. He finessed straw-candidates to run "against" him and the vote was diluted so that he won with a minority of the vote though most of the vote was against him. Chavez gets reelected due to things like this, his voting block of crooked businessmen, bankers, developers, builders, realtors, city employees, especially Albuquerque Police, Firefighters, etc. and the families of all the foregoing. It's a very crooked town and these folks all know each others' secrets. They have a vested interest in keeping the lid on their little Pandora's Box, and that lid is Mayor Marty "Mad Mood" Chavez. Don't be swayed by the political theater at the Guardian Council. They didn't call this America's Largest Crime Scene for nothing, and it only partly referred to the 11 poor dead women found at the West Mesa.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Aries

Don't get embroiled in a bad-tempered skirmish today, for it might turn into more than that if you aren't careful. Everyone seems to be ratty and argumentative, but once you let the first spat take place it's effectively declaring open season. Even though things seem out-of-joint, keep your lines of communication open.
