Pueblo does Suck. It is the dog eat dog mentality that is so discusting. And there are a lot of Christian dog eat dogs out there. Worst place I have ever spent time in and can't wait to get out of here. Emotional and mental ignorance does not have a color or race, but those qualities are in an over abundance in Pueblo. I blame this on the Mob and the Mexicans. Much better places to live with much nicer people. Education does not make a person nice. It gives you the choices and knowledge to be nice, to be a better person.

Finally, children and women in Pueblo might find justice in court now that Judge Maes is leaving. Our new judge with his Catholic training and love of God should be exactly what the Pueblo Court needs. Truth and honesty. Now we have two other dishonest judges to get rid of, Judge Rayes and Judge Crockenberg.

The people in this town are so incredibly stupid that I truly believe there's something in the water because a whole town can't be that ignorant.

Pueblo does have a very delicate natural beauty, if you know where to look. But even that is about to be despoiled by the constant BOONDOGGLERY so endemic to the city. It is difficult to think of a city of comparable size, population, etc. that is so constantly "ON-The-"MAKE". ..like some boor in a Disco bar - or a car with the burglar alarm stuck in the "ON" mode.

A quick look at the history will show that P-burg prospered as a center of heavy industry and railroads. The railroads shipped in tens of thousands of immigrants in the late 19th/early 20th century to work in the steel mill.

NOW- very, very many of those Central and Southern and Eastern European peasants' progeny still make Pueblo their home - though most are still just scraping by, a few figured out the game of Capitalism and where and how and when to exploit the System to their own advantage and, becoming wealthy and powerful - they have become city "Leaders" or the "behind-the-scene-" manipulators at least.

With America's heavy industry in decline the Labor Unions have also taken a hit and this means Pueblo's Big Shots are now casting around for some other way to sustain the lifestyle they've become accustomed to - so they've hit on this "Tourism" fantasy that by spening Millions upon Millions upon MILLIONS of $$$$$$$$$$ on this wild scam. But there's more to their plan than that - in their hypocrisy and cynicism - Pueblo -even failing the "Tourism" lunacy - will be TOO BIG TO FAIL.

Most of the construction of the buildings and puddles and parks (and -no joke- a "BULL-RIDING UNIVERSITY") in Pueblo are ultimately financed by floating "BONDS"....which will FAIL to perform anywhere near paying off the acquired DEBT from all these ill-conceived and poorly performing projects.

While taxpayers will then be obliged to pay off the debt - the major "BOND" holders (guess who) will STILL be the de-facto owners of the properties - and reap whatever profits are eventually realized. Rather shrewd - in a third or fourth generation peasant sort of way - I'd say.

Actually it has nothing to do with religion, it has to do with international integrity, universal integrity. To many Christians I would not give the time of day. Integrity is impersonal but very principled, a life style, a choice.

Colorado is a wonderful state, but unfortunately Pueblo is located here which is the thorn in the backside of CO. P-town, pu-town, taco town, whatever you want to call it, sucks. There is a lot of self-congratulatory pats on the back from our city leaders that really only serve themselves. If you like to have fun and meet interesting people, you will be driving the I-25 North route quite a bit, so much for the cost of living being cheap with gas usage.

I don't think that this town has a low cost of living, they have a low cost of low paying jobs. I can get gas at the same or a few cents less in Colorado Springs than in Pueblo.

To put it in a nutshell, crooked cops, self serving civil servants, teen girls having baby after baby with welfare as the baby's daddy, high school dropouts, gangs, eyesores out the wazoo. There are nice areas, but to live there you have to have money. Great shopping, again, I-25 North.

Jan 1 when MJ will be legal, the cops will still treat it as if it were still a crime if the city leaders, DA are told by the "elite" to keep up running interference.

It is disgusting that the one paper in town does not tell the truth about the crimes of the police, the judges, our rotten DA, a County Attorney who goes right along and protects them. Someone in this town is going to go bonkers with all of their crimes and start shooting, and I will blame the corruption of the city fathers who must all be mobsters with their stinking thinking. Now the County Attorney is going to be something with the new DA...this should be a real trip for all of us. Write to ACLU and let them know about the corruption here and the abuse to our civil liberties, our civil rights. There is no safe place for victims of crime here when the criminals are the police the judges and the DA.

I lived in this stinky little city once upon a time. Definitely not a place for tourists, I'll tell you that. Downtown is the only part of town that people can brag about. Lots of junkies and perverts, shitty schools (not counting charter, magnet or private schools, which are a pain to get into), If you are Black, Asian, maybe White, you won't really fit in because most of the people here are Mexican American. It's not bad on some days, but the smell of pot (now that it has been legalized) stinks up the streets (or so I've heard from friends still living there). The stench of fast food also lingers around busy roads, shopping centers, etc. Most people are lazy pukes. Walk into a Wal-Mart and try to count all of the people who smell like weed in their PJs. It's impossible!
Glad I don't live there anymore.
