El Pomar Foundation awards $611,000 in grants to southeast Colorado in 2006

Since the first El Pomar grant was awarded in the Arkansas Valley in 1942 the foundation has given a total of 596 grants totaling over $11.1 million to support and recognize local non-profit groups. via La Junta Tribune-Democrat
