Lori -

I'm very sorry you found yourself in an abusive relationship. I can't even imagine the pain you went through! You are very brave and I hope you find someone who treats you with the respect you deserve!

it proved she was battered no one stepped in because her husband was a cop she did what she had to do to stay alive.she hd a younge son to care for and she was robbed of that as well.
she had marks and brusies to prove she was abused.
she should be reimbursed from that state for the abuse she got from her husband.

Wow.......isn't it amazing how when those related to or close to the "victim" choose to see them as sweet, wonderful and innocent? How many of you were in their house with them the whole time they were married? Evidently, quite a few when we read all the know-it-all hateful comments against Donna! However, I know nobody is perfect! One example; my marriage to my ex. Everyone he knew thought he was the most wonderful person in the world, but behind closed doors, he was a totally different person. I was horribly abused by him on a regular basis. So please everybody, until you actually live in the same house with someone, DON'T JUDGE!!!

NOT TRUE AT ALL... ABOUT WOMEN BEING WEAK BECAUSE THEY CANT LEAVE... some woman are soooo scared and have low self esteem and cant leave, there scared... the abusers that are giving the woman the abuse make them that way so there at there beck and call. i watched my mom get kicked, raped and beat on a daily basis and the law... HA HA TO THE LAW, WHAT LAW WAS THERE BEFORE NICOLE BROWN SIMPSON MURDER!!! police officers would come to my house several times a week because i would call!!! they would give my dad a quarter and tell him to get coffee, when the police left he would be beating my mother up again... sometimes they would come and her face would be bleeding... it was horrible....my brother would have to go down there and throw or hit my dad and then run out with my mom until my dad calmed down... so the law did crap... i still remember to this day because it was the last time i called the police... a officer told my mom when he came and my moms were black and blue and blood dripping from her face.. if they get called again that they were taking me and my brother and putting us in the order of the courts, i was sooo scared... i still remember the night we left my dad was getting a shot gun to kill us.... so i feel for donna.... yeah for him being a police man and having everyone fooled... so did my dad he was very active in the boy scouts of america, and helping everyone, people thought he was a saint... but at home he treated his family like dirt and his punching bags.....my mom is the bravest woman i know, she is my hero she saved us but we helped her.. we actually had to go into hiding at my aunts and hide the car.... i could go on and on and on.... but you dont know how donna felt when she did this? her mental status and know one will know but donna.... who cares who she slept with or what she did...NOOOO MAN HAS THE RIGHT TO HIT A WOMAN AND KEEP HER PRISONER... NO ONE KNOWS WHAT GOES ON BEHIND CLOSED DOOORS BUT DONNA AND DENNIS..

Mimi, you sound very vested in this case. Did John Giduck gave you some of his kindness too?
Weak women complain about abuse, FBI, and Sheriffs; strong women get up and leave their abusers and go on with their lives. Donna Yaklich had options but instead she chose to hire two teenagers to kill her husband, then collected his three life insurance policies and went on vacation.
Of course, if a woman is not educated and does not have any skills that would allow her to find a job and make a good living then it is more difficult for her to leave. Oh well, should have been reading books instead of spreading her legs.
Dennis Yaklich did not deserve to die the way he did and John Giduck should have exhibited better ethics as a lawyer.
YOU ARE SSOOOOO DEAD WRONG.. I GUESS YOU NEVER LIVED IN FEAR FOR YOUR LIFE OR YOUR KIDS LIFE... MY MOTHER DID AND I WATCHED... WHAT GIVES THE RIGHT FOR A MAN TO TAKE CONTROL OF A WOMAN,,,, NONE.. NONE AT ALL... I SWORE IF A MAN EVER HITS ME, HE BETTER RUN CAUSE I WILL LAY HIM OUT IN HIS OWN GRAVE.... I WONT BE MY MOM, dYOU DONT KNOW HOW DONNA FELT... HOW HER SELF ESTEEM WAS STRIPPED FROM HER!!! SOME PEOPLE THAT JUDGE AND WERE NEVER ABUSED JUST MAKE ME SOOOO MAD

Knew Donna personally for many years and was one of the kindest honest people I had ever met, I know she had to have been severly abused to have commit such an act.

Do you know how many women are killed and beaten to a pulp when they try to leave? Just leaving a violent posessive man is a very tricky thing to do and stay alive.
I knew Donna for many years and I know she had to have been terribly abused to do what she did and she should of did it herself, as they said, she would of never spent a day in jail. She was an abused woman and one of the kindest nicest I have ever met.

It always frightens me as a woman when I hear that places like Pueblo, Co., still exist where woman who are abused are pushed aside, hushed and not protected. I recall another woman in Connecticut who also was in the same situation. She didn't kill her husband but he kicked and beat her too many times and she wound up with severe disabilities for the rest of her life. Again, she was not protected by law enforcement. No one believed her until her beating disabled her. It's just wrong.

I'm going to expand on this. Why do we have a Chief of Police who was rejected by Colorado Springs Police? I went up to see him about Crockenberg being a felon. He said that Crockenberg had the right to defend his client vigerousely at my discovery. NO he was not allowed to even be at my discovery. Victims have no rights to this man. Women victims. Just like Donna, beat the hell out of a woman, refuse victom rights to a woman, rape any woman you want, and the good ol boys will stick together. Distroy police reports, the DA doesn't know what to do about it or he is nicely paid off. Parkview allowes patient abuse. Rape anayone in Parkview and they will cover it up.The judges will cover it up. Medical abuse in Parkview? No problem for Parkview, the judges will again abuse you. It is time for women to organize in Pueblo and stop this abuse. We need to scream all the way to Washington until all of us are safe. But then how safe is that? The Sheriff does not allow freedom of speech. Neither does Judge Rayes.
