My hunch would be their car ran out of gas or had a flat tire.

I recall a story not so long ago where a woman hit a man that came through the windshield and stayed lodged there. She proceeded to drive several miles to her home, parked in the garage, closed the door, went into the house and went to bed. The guy in the windshield eventually died during the night.

You just can't make this stuff up.

A Law and Order episode?

I am glad you don't drive.

In San Fransisco illegal aliens can drive without a driver's license if they can call a legal driver to come and get them and their car within 20 minutes. Nice.

I love Madam Speaker Pelosi.

Not bad folks. It took only five threads to link some guy who drove away with a pedestrian stuck in his windshield with Nancy Pelosi.

Why does the far-right have no ethical issues with misrepresentation. The law, which is SF only and has nothing to do with Pelosi. The unlicensed drivers will still be cited and will face penalties, but the car will not be impounded - that is the change. They are not allowed to legally drive. I disagree with the changes to the law and think the car should be impounded, but at least, it would be helpful if "Frosty Bev" understand what the law says and who is responsible for the changes it.

Did you miss the point that some loon thinks a TV story is real life?

How can he be charged with "leaving the scene of an accident" when he took the accident with him ?

I wonder if he tried using his windshield to lose the victim. Never put anything past the criminally minded.

Man Left to Bleed to Death in Windshield
Thu Mar 7,11:43 AM ET

FORT WORTH, Texas (Reuters)- A Texas nurse's aide faces murder charges after hitting a man as she drove and then letting him bleed to death over two to three days while he was trapped in her car's windshield, police said on Thursday.

Gregory Glen Biggs, 37, was hurled headfirst through the windshield by the impact, his broken legs lying across the car's hood, Fort Worth police spokesman Lt. Jesse Hernandez said.

Chante Mallard, 25, told investigators she panicked after hitting the man on a Fort Worth highway near her home one night last October. She drove to her house, parked the car in her garage and ignored his pleas for help, police said.

Biggs, who lived in a city homeless shelter, died of blood loss and shock over the course of two to three days, according to the coroner's report. He probably would have survived with medical attention, police said.

Mallard was arrested on Wednesday after police received a tip in the investigation that started with the discovery of Biggs' body in a park, where it was apparently dumped after he died.

"I'm going to have to come up with a new word. Indifferent isn't enough. Cruel isn't enough to say. Heartless? Inhumane? Maybe we've just redefined inhumanity here," Tarrant County Assistant District Attorney Richard Alpert told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, which first reported the arrest.

Mallard told police she had been drinking and taking the drug Ecstasy before the accident.

Police said a search of Mallard's home found the car still in the garage with the windshield broken and blood and hair evidence intact.

Well, I've been squawking about the bad drivers in Massachusetts, but certainly, Rhode Island drivers, due to their close proximity to Massachusetts, have enjoyed many of the bad drivers that seem to have accumulated in the North East, for whatever reason, the worst drivers in the USA have chosen the North East to live.

All the bad drivers are here, the ones that drive down the middle of the road, the left lane hogs, the slow pokes, the ones that go left before their right turn, or vice versa, people that refuse to use turn signals, the ones that exit the expressway directly from the left lane.....I could go on, but what for?

Lived all of my life in the Northeast, most in Massachusetts, but by far the worst drivers in America are in Maryland. You can argue about whose second, but Maryland drivers have no conception of what a right land is for. The Beltway has its reputation because there's always a Marylander putzing in the passing lane. Forget about executing the DC sniper. Drag a few of those idiots our of their cars and have some summary executions.

You are an idiot. If you have lived all of your life in the Northeast, how can you possible claim the worst drivers in AMERICA are in Maryland? There is a lot of land between Maryland and California. Maybe if you moved out of your Mom's house, you might see some of it. Sorry if you can't be too far from Teo's or Angelina's. It is a big world out there, don't be afraid...

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Cancer

Hold it! You need to approach things in a calm, controlled manner today otherwise you're likely to get yourself into a state in no time at all. That's especially likely if you're trying to meet a deadline because you'll start to panic and then become all fingers and thumbs. You might also get extremely ratty with anyone who gets in your way or asks stupid questions. Come on, is that fair?
