How did you know that info?

Or did you just make that up?

Or did you used to work there?

Or are you kin to the owners of the old WHRZ?

Ive got an excellent memory and also listened to WHRZ alot back then. When the owners were testing the signal of radio station they used the song for testing purposes I suppose anyhow the song itself got old for awhile being played time after time again and again.

Brain, Doug's son, was on the air for several years. He started as a part time DJ when the station was on Main St. in Providence when he was in HS, and he was the morning show host for several years before the Hamby's sold the station. By then it was in Madisonville on Arch I think it was. That was probably 2002 or 2003. He was on the air with a woman, Karen I think was her name. She's a sales woman for Townsquare Media/ WKDQ/WGBF in Evansville
