This is good news. Maybe that stupid bit@h who takes the whole lane during rush hour on Independence pky will find and use this trail.

That's a 4 lane street. You're a loser and totally incompetent if you can't negotiate around a little bicycle. Get off the road and better yet turn in your license.

Ease up Larry. Some parts of Independence are 4 lanes, you *slack jaw homo, and some are **2. Ill turn in my license when you turn in your keyboard. there's a difference between sharing the lane and taking the lane.

Bicyclists are encouraged to take the whole lane because of "in a rush and I didn't see them so I hit them" people like you. And by the way, "I didn't see them" should in no way be any kind of excuse. It's usually I wasn't looking so I hit them. I'm out of the hospital now and close calls are considered endangerment of life. I have the right to defend myself.

Sorry about your luck, Larry. I too am a cyclist and totally understand the whole traffic LAW thing. Cyclists are only encouraged to take the lane at intersections, 4 lane parking right, and in no traffic conditions. You are less of an impact on traffic by "sharing the lane" rather than "taking the lane" hence less cyclist related accidents. I only wish I could have shared this tidbit with you prior to your accident. Let me guess, intersection huh? They get you every time. Your whole California twist on this is typical. I'm conscious of where and at what times I ride. There's no rush hour rides for me. I do this for self preservation. I hope never to hear the excuse " I didn't see him " but I know I have done my part to ride as safely as possible.
