He gave billions to banksters on Wall Street. Why can't he spend billions to create jobs instead? And don't tell me bailouts create jobs, they create dependants. Mines, farms, ranches and factories create jobs. All the rest--even construction--depend on them.

You dumbsh.it, the banks and wallstreet are paying back every cent they got and then some. The unionized car companies are not paying it back, UNIONS, Obama is not a fair man. And he is using way TOOOOOOO much to create expensive overpaying gov't jobs but in order to get the private sector going/hiring he nailed them with healthcare and now a very real threat of higher taxes, so no way, no how are private businesses gonna hire with that hanging over their heads. Obama doesn't seem to get it.

There is no way to pay for all the gov't employees except to tax more or run up the deficit even higher. We have a dumb man in the white house and you thnk Biden or Pelosi has the brains to spell it out to him?

Yup, according to the Bloomberg article, YOU now OWE more money than YOU MAKE.

OBAMA and the Democrats have BANKRUPTED the United States!!!!

How's that for Hope and Change?

Government jobs aren't "jobs" they are just more debt.

Are they? I don't think so. Sure some of them are paying back the loans SO THEY CAN PAY THEIR CEOS MORE. Others just disappeared.
But you're missing the fundamental point. The government should not be giving money to banks, who are bankrupting consumers by credit card interest and inflated house values.
Financial services are not industry. This country used to have real jobs making and producing real things. Selling credit default swaps to each other is not real or sustainable.
