<quoted text>The cheats and cons are exposed for what they are! Did you take it as a threat in a sense that you want to make sure Kim is on your side? I found that amusing as all get out to be honest! Do you want to be associated with those kinds of people? How many bids did she open to have the upper hand in her career? How many favors did she pull to stop people from getting permits or on the other hand give people building permits and so on? Have those records ever been gone through to see exactly how many bids she or a member of her family has won? I'm not making accusations, but I have heard many, many people complain about this unfair behavior over the years and I have personally seen favors done! Wouldn't an investigation be in order on all of the above? We need honest people in town hall! It's time to clean house from the ground up!
that's why there should be term limits on all elected and appointed jobs , I know some people want experience in some of the jobs but , new ideas and enthusiasm are always needed ....

Read the post again. It never said I wanted her on my side, it said that people had advised me that I needed to have her on my side......

Quote from my post dated July 21 on page 7.....

People have told me that I need Kim K on my side. How do I do that? She has been there for 18 years and she is secure as long as Bill H is there. With me comes uncertainty.

Parker, I read your article and thought you should know that I support you 98%. Before you get that remaining 2% I just have a few questions. Why Woodgate? I ask you only described the school as magical & I thought that was a little vague. Is there a reason you would want to stop the program in Forestport? If it does cease in the town of Forestport, will there be other programs to offer members of the community? Perhaps something to offer pre-teen/Teens? Seniors? Business Networking groups? Forestport is such a beautiful town. I love living here and find the people in this community to be some of the kindest, most caring people I have ever met in my life but there is so little to do. I feel the sincerity in the words I read in your article and look forward to the changes you are capable (and eager) to bring forward. This town, as I said before is beautiful but needs something more. BRING IT ON PARKER! WE NEED SOMETHING MORE THEN THE NOTHING WE ARE GETTING NOW!!!!!!!!!!

The program runs for 6 weeks for 5 days a week for a total of 30 days. I/2 OF those days are scheduled for road or field trips leaving 15 days at the school. I believe all the kids should be together for those 15 days to bond, play sports or work on a project together. Some of those 15 days are going to rain and at the Town Hall, the kids have to play in or above an active office and business environment. Not much fun. Splitting the time between the two places is unnecessary. We can outfit one location with everything necessary for a
forfilling summer program experience. The Woodgate school needs a mission and I believe that mission is the very task the school was designed and built for.......
sounds good

Your reasoning sounds good Parker.
But, one thing I have thought of is how will the children from the village and Otter Lake areas be involved if a parent in the village or Otter/White Lake does not have a means to get their children to the Woodgate site?
AND yes, Woodgate old school definitely does have a different presence about it. Your approach to all inclusiveness is new and your thoughts seem to be the best way to have the children gather from across the span of the entire community. Many times I thought of what the children in White and Otter Lake did in the summer up there and even IF they participated at all.
Perhaps it can be worked out for ALL the children of the TOWN, thanks to your concern and caring approach to this situation.

I think you are correct Parker , all the children should be in one place , and the old school in woodgate is the right place for it .

Buses are used in the existing program for the field trips etc and can be available on the RT 28 corridor to transport children north & south. Consolidation will help create quality and growth as more kids want to participate and more families gain confidence in the summer rec program.....
tis good

If the video drags, push the pause button and let it load. You will see the shaded bar moving toward the right under the screen. When it gets all the way right, push play.....

Parker....you do have some good and fresh ideas....I only wish I was reading more about "the town board and I would seek out solutions," instead of offering immediate solutions that are just your ideas. It's dangerous to give solutions for a couple of reasons: 1) Shows you have preconceived ideas and people might think you have a personal agenda as opposed to a team agenda. 2) If you offer up one solution that is unpopular, you can ruin your whole campaign. Stick to team decisions.

Thank you for your thoughtful post. There is no Executive branch in our form of Town government, only the Legislative branch. The Supervisor is just a board member and has no veto power, just an idea what direction he or she believes is best for the town and a bully pulpit to advance those ideas. The Town board rules. I wanted people to have an honest and transparent idea of what direction I would try to influence the Board to take. The articles I wrote last week amount to a position paper and are a broad overview of my opinions at this time. I am not inflexible to reasonable counter views or more in depth information......

it would be nice to have a board that would listen to the people , instead of dictating .... I like that you have ideas Parker , and I may not agree with some of them , at least you have some .. as far as you putting your ideas on this site , as least you have some , I don't hear or read any ideas from the other people running , and I think these people in office have to remember they work for us , I know it doesn't work in big government but it should work here ....

Bob, I could not agree with you more. There are four board member candidates running for two board seats in the Republican primary September the 10th. If Bill H can win this primary and get one of his hand picked candidates elected he will have control of the Town again. He has Nancy Kardash already so if he gets Brian or David, we are back to the future....
