Based upon what?
I've known him for maybe 30 years or more and I think he's a good guy, but I certainly don't think he's suitable for the town board...And that's my right to state my opinion and I didn't vote for him.

First - congratulations to both Ron and Charles for their win in the Primary.
Pretty ironic that 2 candidates that were not even "mentioned" in the official endorsed list of Republican candidates WON.
I believe that this speaks volumes.
Guess it is not a win-win to be hand-picked by the Republican Party.
The voters have spoken....I am excited for the future of Forestport now.

Make sure you congratulate him when you run into him and pretend he is your friend.

That won't be a problem my friend, as I stated before I do like him but wouldn't vote for him...its just a personal opinion and I still wish him the best.

Why do people think that elections have anything to do with friendship or lack of friendship? Elected someone to a public office has nothing to do with your relationship with them as a friend.

I wouldn't nominate or vote for my very best friend for public office. The person who wins in November is going to LEAD this town. So forgetting about friendship, when I voted, I thought about: who has experience leading? who can handle things calmly? who is truthful? based on what I knew about the candidate, who did I feel had the best interests of the town at heart? I really have to say this: I don't think Bill or Parker are the best candidates as I feel Bill isn't up for the change that the voters want and Parker is too trip trigger on issues and I do not know his motivation.

I'm voting for......I just don't know. Whoever wins, I hope they're genuine.

Very well said (Friends) ...voting for someone just because they're your friend is stupidity at its best, but this is Forestport we're talking about.

And quite obviously- everyone voted for their friends for town council last night... Once again lower Forestport takes care of their own. Lets hope both Charles and Ron approach their duties with an open mind and careful thought. Good luck gentlemen!

Anyone that doesn't vote for the person they feel is the most capable of preforming the job, shouldn't even be voting...it's not about friends, just because someone is your friend does not make them capable of doing the job!!!!!

Ron and Charles would provide wonderful additions to the Forestport goverment. Neither one of them to my knowledge are slinging shit like most. They should be commended for running an honorable campaign. Maybe after Ron gets his feet wet for a while he will be elected as the town supervisor someday. Hopefully they will not be influenced by the usual political party seperations and help bring elected officials together to make Forestport the best it can be. Isn't that what everbody really wants?

I think that is what everyone wants. Running an honorable campaign says a lot about a man. It is refreshing and long overdue.

Can't you do better than to copy the posts of others who are NOT Parker, but are positive posts written by others TO PARKER?
Scraping the bottom of the barrel I would say. This copying of writings of others you copy and post is really helping him..........

It has gotten to the point I fear, when there is nothing left to defend Bill Hasenauer's position nor honesty with anymore so far as local government OF THE PEOPLE, and FOR THE PEOPLE>

And also to attempt to protect the employees who are beginning to surface who need to stay out of this election. Their jobs depend on the outcome, so you should sit down and watch. That is if one does not have a personal financial interest in projects that have been kept under cover.
