Ivan Mitkov, Kindergartener at Westbrook School from Mount Prospect is already a chess wizard. On November 7 2009 Ivan played at the All Grades Illinois Chess Championship in Bloomington, Illinois. He finished first with a perfect score of 5 points out of 5 games, and went home as a Illinois Chess Champion for Kindergarten section.
Ivan Mitkov is coming from a chess family. His father, Nikola Mitkov is a Chess Grand Master who teaches chess to kids in many schools in Chicagoland.
